From the 58th minute to the end of the match Arsenal took the game up a notch. This last section is only 36% of the total match and yet accounts for almost all of the top quality things Arsenal did on the day. I don’t say this as a dis on the team, though they are now notorious for slow starts, but rather just an observation that once the first goal came, things looked a lot easier for Arsenal.

Atkinson comment. Haha. What a toss he is.

Renzo007

One hopes this confidence will help the players on the pitch and the club with negotiations heaven knows we need good news

GoonerJust

Ozil incouraged himself to shot, instead of pass, and he scored. Kudos for him!

Nice game. it will be fun till the end of the season. COYG

TR7

can we buy lanzini to play him in the santi role?

Pedant

Ozil often is criticised but since he has come back we are looking better.

sqbeafc

how many contacts did Giroud have? for me it seems that just a few and still managed to score a goal. I loved Giroud. Deserved more than he received.

Cheesus

How is Lanzini’s second half strike straight at Martinez not counted as a shot on target?

VintageFuzz

West Ham only had two shots on target and both came in the final 35 mins. Lanzini and Fernandes had those efforts.

Glory hunter

Or a big chance?

On another day that piece of shit on a stick ref could of cost us big time, he didn’t even consult with his lino and had a good view.
The bbc MOTD courage focused on how hard done by the hammers felt for the first goal and completely left all the penalty calls out, major issue in that game not shown at all why? The whole world should be seeing that rat faced ref’s piss poor performance.

“Most likely to shoot first and ask later”

GraeB

Why is Rowan Atkinson refereeing anyway?

Gran Xakh

I find it really encouraging that Xhaka seems to be able to hit our most dangerous players from deeper positions. I do wonder a bit if the idea we have to “replace” cazorla isn’t really what we should be doing but finding a partner for Xhaka who looks a real prospect on his day and perhaps we should have done more to accommodate in the first place
