Where’s the Ox??

spinner

He hasn’t reached his potential yet.

Paul

You forgot “Wenger out” 🙂

1245

Good one sir

Third Plebeian

Since when has that ever stopped Wenger from selecting a player?

NorthernGoon

It only applies if it’s Ramsey or Giroud.

Third Plebeian

Hamstring.

Paul

Oh ffs!

Gunner pundit

Come on you gooners

Nordin Bin Hassan

Good lineup. Especially with Ozil back. Offensively we can get goals. Its defensively that worries me most.

mo974

where is the OX? COYG get the 3 points! Any other results will be catastrophic!

Stevo

Muscular injury (insert joke here).

Jack

Hopefully Welbeck is a little less rusty than last game!

Cygan\'sbaldspot

Coquelin scares me in this kind of game. Where’s the Ox?

Corona X

Injured, according to Wenger in the pre-game interview…
Agree with you – reckon Elneny would be a better bet.

clins

why couldnt he try elneny for coq fpr one game atleast. coq has been nothing short of disaster this season.

Corona X

I don’t understand why we don’t try and mix it up a bit, especially in defence… Mustafi hasn’t been great as of late (to put it nicely!), so why don’t we give Holding a chance? Or if he’s seen as too inexperienced, what about Mertesacker?? He’s been back for a while now, he’s even signed a new extension, but he’s nowhere to be seen on matchday? What if one of our centre-halves get injured…? Only Gibbs as defensive reinforcement today? I wish Wenger would try something drastic… But alas, here we are. Anywya, not a bad line-up, hoping we can… Read more »

Just realised there’s only 6 players on the bench… Surely Holding or Mertesacker was accidentally left out by Blogs?

Paul

Gabriel actually.

Paul

Wow I got thumbed down for stating that it’s Gab on the bench… wtf???

Paul

I seem to have split the fan base by saying it’s Gab that Blogs missed from the bench! Just not funny enough on here at times!

PhilistineFred

I think people thought you were saying Gab should’ve started instead of Mustafi. Because that other dude said Holding should get a chance. That would be dumb haha

Paul

Let’s hope it was that! I would much prefer to see Holding ahead of Gabs.

alexy

Gabriel is on the bench

Paul

DON’T SAY THAT MATE!!! 🙂

clins

exactly . we never change, despite getting hammered in 4 of 5 last league games wenger sends almost the same team every game. coq starts again. ffs

Don

The heart says we’ll battle to a 2-2 draw.
The head says we’ll lose 1-3.
Neither of those are good things, but on current form can’t see this team winning

Gloryhunter

I bow down to your sorcery, where will we finish this season & will Wenger stay or go?

He\'s got no hair but we don\'t care...

Xhaka. Really?

spinner

Would have preferred Elneny to start ahead of Coq.

Futsboller

Agreed. Coquelin could be very effective if City try to play possession through the middle, but they look to be set up for width (i.e., the way Liverpool played us) to stretch us out, and Elneny keep his position more firmly. Anxiety …

We’ll just have to take our chances, and hope that our forwards to their thing.

Gudang Bedil

Wenger is a Welbeck fanboy.

Trez

Elneny should’ve started instead of Coq. Otherwise, best lineup we have at the moment

Clegooner

Always with the Coq. Hes very underwhelming.

Third Plebeian

His displays have been flaccid of late. It seems whenever he plays our midfield looks dysfunctional. Nothing to be ashamed of, of course, happens to everyone now and then. Still, when things look down, you don’t pressure the guy by demanding another performance.

clins

wenger said he made some changes last few games . i still dont understand what changes is he talking about . its the same team every game , coq starts every game , the worst player we had on field against liverpool , city and bayern game . i dont know what wenger sees in him

Bobby

WHy start Coquelin before Elneny? Me think it’s madness…

Cliff Bastin

Mertesacker needs to play every game to be eligible for a winner’s medal hurhurhur

Jack4343

I really don’t know what to expect but hoping for their best! Let’s get the points! #COYG

Thierry bergkamp

City’s all out attacking lineup is the only thing that gives me hope.

btw

Hope is not what it gives me

Third Plebeian

…and then you consider our defence has shipped about thirty goals in the last three weeks.

shokim

Welcome back, Mesut. We should’ve started with Holding as some freshness is needed. COYG!

PhilistineFred

Xx and Ramsey?!?!? must’ve been some late injuries/illness. No way Coq and Walcott start ahead of those two otherwise

geovipz

Todays lineup can prove a point ; the boys only need to focus and better the flops and lapses suffered in previous games

Third Plebeian

The key here — and I hope I’m not speaking out of turn — is to score more goals than Man City. Then, and only then, will we beat them. I mean, I’m not telling Wenger how to do his job, but that’s what I would tell the players if I were manager.

Third Plebeian

I’m proud of the boys for the five minutes they held City at bay. Chin up, lads. No shame. You’ll always have those five minutes.

Paul

Also a shout out to our goalpost who is having a good game so far…

Third Plebeian

I’m similarly proud of the boys for the 30 seconds they were able to hold on to a draw.

Paul

and another great save from the post!

Gunners

Well it just shows how good we really are after 5 mins well done Wenger.

If Wenger doesn’t go I think most of us will be supporting spurs next season I know I will. Arsenal bosses sort yourself out and get rid of the fucking Frenchman before it’s too late.

Paul

“I think most of us will be supporting spurs next season” troll somewhere else mate.

Anonymarse

Good way to get thumbed down a lot

Gunners

I think pep will be talking to Sanchez at the end of the game telling him to join a side that can compete for things and win things. Not like arsenal that are a moderate premier league club at best to a decent championship team.

There needs to be a big overhaul next season everyone out and start from scratch no player or staff are any good for the premier league.

Paul

What do you care about next season?? You’re off to support spuds remember??

Anonymarse

At least they are having a go this time

What’s up with the defense though?

Gunners

This is the problem arsenal fans will settle for the same shot every season that’s why we haven’t won anything for a while. Wenger needs out with most if not all the players and start again from fresh until this happens next season and the seasons after we will be moaning because we aren’t winning anything just watch next year when Wenger stays we will be fighting for a top four finish and out of the cups as usual.
