It’s the final league game of the season, and a top four finish is out of our hands. All wel can do is win our own game, so let’s hope we can do that and things go well elsewhere.
Here are today’s official line-ups.
Arsenal: Cech, Holding, Koscielny, Gabriel, Bellerin, Ramsey, Xhaka, Monreal, Alexis, Ozil, Welbeck
Subs: Ospina, Mertesacker, Coquelin, Elneny, Iwobi, Walcott, Giroud
Everton: Joel, Baines, Jagielka, Williams, Holgate, Gana, Schneiderlin, Davies, Valencia, Mirallas, Lukaku
Subs: Hewelt, Pennington, Barry, Besic, Williams, Barkley, Kone
Looks good to me. Hopefully Kos is fully fit, and plenty of goals from Alexis and Welbz.
COYG!
Good thing he’s fit…to receive a red card.
Kos is fully fit alright… Will that red card mean he can’t play in the final?
If Boro hold out, we’re going to have to get rid of the existing statues around the Emirates and replace them all with Calum Chambers.
Who has been there player of the season according to some.
Team selection is spot on. Let’s do our definite bit and see what happens. Keeping the winning run up till Wembley is also key. COYG.
Mustafi?
Ill
Mustafi been something he ate.
Mert on the bench?! Suspect this might be his last game?! Despite the contract extension?! A farewell appearance like Arteta last season?!
Good to see Gabriel back in the side. Really solid CB. We don’t need to worry about conceding now.
hä?
Despite the hundreds of years, Agent Sarcasm still appears to the most poorly understood creature
Mustafi is better than Gabriel
We’ve got this. We just need Boro to get it.
Bench has been pretty strong all year. So good to see!
I really hope the Ox can make it to Wembley. Like, REALLY hope.
Whatever happens today, regardless where we finish, it was the result of our shameful performances over the course of the last 4 months which have caused it and not the recent upturn against teams not trying or Middlesbroughs result against Liverpool.
We may make Champions League, we may not. Regardless,I hope we win today and Wenger leaves.
There is no justification for another two years of this.
Exactly. I feel embarrassed with Wenger’s behaviour in the recent weeks, saying that other teams are already on holiday. We were on holiday for 3 months, he should shut the fuck up. Pep told him off really well, this is our bed and we need to lie in it. I don’t want us in top4 for that reason, as this would save Wenger’s ass and he would feel that this was a good season again. It was far from it and he needs to leave, he does not deserve more chances. The only reason I marginally hope for top4 is… Read more »
brace for the harsh truth…wenger is here to stay . i’m over it already , whats the point of getting angry or dissapointed if the board or the manager doesnt give two fuks about what the fans think. just gulp it and hope after two years everything will be better
How crazy would it be if we finished in 3rd?
…nevermind
Looks like that’s the end for Kieran Gibbs then.
He has a thigh strain
Hope Calum Chambers scores a stoppage time screamer and earns his cult status at Arsenal.Step it up lad.
Decent line up. Maybe we could have started Giroud up top. He is a big man for the big matches. But that’s alright. All we could do now is get those three points.
Time for Boro to park the bus, lock the garage, and throw away the keys
Strong team. Now 4 points please!
Guys I think arsenal board must bring in a sport director . Who should responsible to buy players and discuss their wages. With that ,I am of the strongest conviction that arsenal will surely rise again.
I want 7 points 5 goals, 3rd place and M’bappe. COYG
is mustafi hurt?
Ill
Self destructing as usual but this time on an exceptional level. Not only do we have to go three quarters of a game with 10 men, we have just made a very difficult game against Chelski almost impossible. Excellent work.
Now please leave AW.
Welbeck again missing an absolute gift. What’s the point with all that pace if you are not efficient? Thought Ozil stepped us for us today with a man down and Alexis off. And Iwobi was excellent when he came on. A fitting ‘likely’ sent off for Metersecker, he has been (along with Arteta) critical for our reconstruction. that said, we have more reconstruction this summer. Wenger has to clear out some of his English projects. We clearly need to bridge the gap and are in need of more inventive and technical players. Wenger tends not to intervene (which was what… Read more »
