Club confirms Sanogo departure

Arsenal have confirmed that Yaya Sanogo will leave the club this summer.

The France under-21 international revealed his exit last week and will now look for a new club.

In total Sanogo made 20 appearances over four seasons. He scored once against Borussia Dortmund.

The club also confirmed that three youngsters, Stefan O’Connor, Kristopher da Graca and Kostas Pileas, will leave the club at the end of this month. O’Connor was the only one to experience first team football, making a brief cameo in a Champions League win over Galatasaray in 2014.

Arseblog News wishes all four players the best of luck for the future.

Gary Lewin just lost a ping pong buddy…

Lord Bendnter

Noooooooooooooooooooooo!!

Wenger\'s Pony

Shall miss you, young prince!

Hope we don’t have to buy him back in 2020 for 89million

Salman

89 million in 2020 may be peanuts the way prices are going this summer

ImarnuelAFC

Like a new signing

Beagleboy

We don’t spend no money no-o-o, we got Yaya San-o-g-o-o! You fitted the rhymes, but not the first team. All the best for the future Yaya.

SpamB0t

Well, his Arsenal career’s a no-go now.

He will be dearly missed on these boards, maybe less so on the pitch.

Cheadle

Could he do a Falcao or Torres and rise from the “ashes”. I wish him the best. He could restart his career back home.

Gunnya

There was no fire for there to be ashes…..

Penfield

Ouch.

Cliff Bastin

Goes on to have the career of Zlatan.

Jamie

I’ll never forget his reaction to Ramsey’s worldly against Galatasaray

Cornelius P. Snuffington III

That’s also one of the first things I think of when he comes to mind! Glad to learn I’m not the only one.

The other, besides his goal against Dortmund, was him cheating down a ball into the box and absolutely smashing a shot into the back of Steven Gerrard in the FA Cup tie against them the year we beat Hull in the final. The rebound fell for Ox to slot home.

Cornelius P. Snuffington III

*chesting down, not cheating down

Lord Bendnter

Not sure what was the “personal” problem Sanogo was facing as Wenger had mentioned, but I hope he revives his career stronger

GoonerChriz

Wishing him all the best in the future, hope he doesnt get struck by injuries again.

Sean

What about Debuchy? Is he still an Arsenal player?

Super Joshi

This is a disgrace. I saw him at members open day a few years ago and he scored 4 goals in training. 1st Bendtner now this. Does Wenger even know what a good striker is anymore?

My name is Jeff

We will always have Wembley…

Bai Blagoi

Good luck also to Stephan, Kris and Kostas!

Thomas

Best Yaya to ever play in the Premier League.

a different George

As soon as Sanogo officially became available, Man United announced that they were releasing Ibrahimovitch. Coincidence? I think not.

Dave

sad day. a meme just died
serious now, all good luck yaya

richardanus

And there goes any hope of winning the Premier League and the Champions League next season.

Adams9802

Well best of luck. Too bad you were total rubbish(something one could see rather early on). I’m glad we made you a millionaire.

Dan Hunter

Will always remember him for the bag of goals he scored at the prestigious Emirates cup, and THAT celebration… FUCKIN LEGEND…

The good win gays

Yaya never really existed. A lack of trophies just made us wish him into existence

Xxxrob

One less player I’ll have to terminate contracts with first thing in fifa18

MerteXhaka

Just signed Sanogo on my Dream Team and he’s banging them in for fun! Go Yaya!
