It was said many years ago that a Tottenham Hotspur took a trip to Italy. To Rome, in fact, where they decided they wanted to have a chat with the pope.
He was a very busy man, what with having to be in charge of the Catholic Church, so when this rag-tag football team from London turned up unannounced requesting an audience with him, he had no compunction in telling them to f*ck off.
Anyway, here are some of the training pictures as the squad got ready for tomorrow’s game against Sp*rs.
Im getting a little bit confidant
It will be interesting to see whether Danny gets a start or not, or whether Arsene opts for the same front 3 that dispatched Everton.
I hope he does do that, I think its our best team, but if he doesn’t do that and leaves Lacazette on the bench I will lose my mind.
No kolasinac in any of these photos nor the photos arsenal posted on their homepage. I’m actually really starting to worry, we need him physicality on Saturday!
Hoping Pires starts on the left with Eddie on the right and Lacazette through the middle.
I am also a sad, sad person
EDDIE
EDDIE
EDDIE
Got that Marlo Stanfield aura about him. Look at that shoulder control. Absolute badboy.
Weirdly made the exact same connection at the Norwich game. Uncanny…
Does Eddie always have that look on his face?
Welbeck ,laca and eddie now thats a front free i would like to see…..in my dreams obviously
I spy a delectable Bobby P in the background…
Do I spy a Pires?
Good to see Rambo & Sancho getting along. Also Welbz looking flexible and trusting in his movement is a grand sight.
Gonna get drunk tonight to stave off the NLD nerves but probably make silly bets with my spud mates. COYG!
I know it’s down to the whim of sponsors, but I do like how there are a number of our players in red boots. C’mon Arsenal!
Danny looks like he’s lining up for a flying cleat-stomp right on Petr
Unleash the ÖLA for full 90 minutes. L needs to be playing every minute to score.
Start Wilshere over Xhaka. Please.
Yes please. What Southgate said about Jack playing deeper in midfield make sense. As far as I can remember, Jack doesnt easily lose possession like Xhaka. We cant afford to keep losing possession that lead to conceding a goal because of Ramsey’s style of play. I think Jack can handle the situation better with his quick feet and dribbling skills. Until Xhaka fixed that problem, Jack is perhaps the answer until Santi is back in January.
………………..Lacazette……………………. ….Alexis……………………………..Iwobi…. ………………….Ramsey……………………. …………Granit…………..Jack……………… Kolasinac……………………………..Bellerin …………….Koscielny……Per……………….. …………………..Cech……………………….. We need a bit of bite in midfield to their box end and maybe Ramsey, Jack with Alexis and iwobi can provide better energy and aggression. Sharpshooter Lacazette up top. But Giroud a (direct) option later should we need goal (s) Later : Ozil in for Jack but pushed into the hole position by Lacazette, Ramsey drops next to Granit Giroud in for Iwobi, Lacazette to right of CF. Maybe back four might help curb our enthusiasm going forward and leaving gaps behind. Reluctant to pair the old guard in Per and Koscielny… Read more »
I have a feeling he may start Coquelin though. In fairness, Le Coq did reasonably well against City but he should play higher near Granit if in 3-4-2-1
Mate, don’t scare me like that!!
I think Welbeck will probably get the start because he always does in these big games because he is motivated and tries hard on both sides of the ball…says a lot that we have only one player that the coach trusts to actually try hard in big games…mentality.
I think we miss someone like crazy Tony Adams, taking players by the throat to make them understand that you just do not lose against Tottenham. Don’t care if we are dominated, just do not lose no matter what. I swear, if anyone on the field starts walking or sulking, I will lose it.
Did you shop Wenger’s old-man ears onto Koscielny? Be honest.
Just bloody start Eddie already – you can see the chutzpah
