Arsenal 18/19 Puma kit updates – red, blue and…turquoise?

According to leaked kit specialists Footy Headlines, Arsenal could be wearing a turquoise coloured third kit next season.

The Gunners are also set to wear red and white at home (surprise, surprise) and a navy strip on their travels.

The trio of new designs are rumoured to be the last that Puma make for the Gunners before the switch to a new kit provider, potentially adidas.

The following pictures, mocked up by Footy Headlines, give an idea of the colour combinations.

Apparently, according to Puma, this colour is called Chili Red Heather.
This is Peacoat Blue matched with High Risk Red…pass it on.
This is Biscay Green…I don’t know what that means.

No yellow kit for the second season running…fetch me my pitchfork.

Even though I’d prefer yellow, these look nice to me.

Get Adidas back

Wengerism

A red Arsenal home kit?????

Pip

I assume the Biscay Green is named after the Bay of Biscay which can induce sea sickness. When you are actually sick it looks like this colour.

Franzsigel

Can people please stop buying shirts that arent red/white or yellow…

Theoptimist

And why not ‘Arsenal Red’? We have our own station, why not our own red?

Stewart Robson\'s therapist

I still look back at the mock-ups that random people were creating online back in 2014, when we first signed with Puma, and think some of those were better than what we actually got.

Chippys chip

Puma out umbro in.

dr Strange

Shithouse brown is out of fashion?

mongoosebumpkin

oh f’n hell please no.
What’s wrong with the Red/white, Yellow & Navy triad? Why can’t we just stick with that?

shokim

adidas coming on board next season? Yes please!

\'desi\'gner gooner

No please. Adidas means boring kit with 3stripes on the shoulder running down to the sleeves. They don’t innovate with their kit designs at all.

Peter

Boring designs are just fine by me. Innovation tends just to mean odd colour choices and patterns. I’d take a standard yellow away kit over the “innovative” gold (= brown) monstrosity we had a couple of years ago.

In any event, let’s be realistic: kits are firmly an aspect of the commercial side of the business. The choice of manufacturer should be dictated by who gives the club the best deal commercially, not who creates the nicest designs.

caligunner

What kits are you looking at that are “innovative”?

They are basically the all the same. Same template with the brands with different badge and color scheme.

JFP

If you look at the adidas kits this season and last there are no shoulder stripes. The 3 stripes now go from the armpit to the waist.

henry

mehhh!!

Goonerink

The blue is the blue we used in the last season before the badge update, I have a training jacket from then and it is easy on the eyes.

The 3rd kit going to have listerine on the sleeves?

Samgunz

Pretty sure that’s a purple

George Onyango

I have been reading arseblog for over 5 years and wonder why the blogger Andrew is always fascinated by new kits! To me I know Arsenal a club I have supported since 1971 wears red and white period!
I want a team that plays well and wins matches and trophies and not looking smart in new kits while floundering in mid table with a washed up old despotic man as manager!

arseblog

I’m not necessarily fascinated by them, but readers are – that’s why we run the stories

Mkhi Mouse

Also, get off of George’s lawn!

Ted E.

Didn’t you have a stat saying that these articles are the most opened? I find the fascination fascinating.

Franzsigel

Think most fans prefer kits as close to the classic 1970’s shirts as possible. And it IS a part of the clubs identity. And identity is important.

Wouldn’t mind a team that plays well and win trophies though. But prefer if they do so playing in a classic red/white or yellow shirt…

TheNicolau15

Here we go…

Jason

PLEASE don’t take away the black kits. The best kits we’ve had in a decade.

Ponsonby+gooner

Have to agree with you sir. The black kits have really grown on me.

Laughing Stock

Arsenal play away in yellow. Not anything else.

Bossman Bill

Puma are very underwhelming. I would give an arm and a leg to go back to Nike. Would even take Pony at this point, or Mizuno.

Kanu\'s Big Toe

I quite like the Turquoise one personally. Would love to see the 05/06 style yellow and grey away kit make a comeback. And as much as Red is our colour, can we please have a Burgundy home kit like 05/06! My favourite Arsenal kits of recent years.

Amusa

The golden blue away kit that Puma came up with was on the best kits they made.
And i quite like the home kits. Away kits have been meh.

TR10

I miss the Nike kits.

Jozzer

Fuck off Puma, let’s hope this is your swan song. Cheap and nasty to the end.

Indian+Gooner

That green jersey looks the Barca away jersey from a few years ago. Remember ARSHAAAAVIN!?Anyone?

SuperRed84

Like the idea of the earth blue kit, maybe a white away one with burgundy trim like one they had a few years back? Any thoughts?

Gonzo gunner

That Chapman kit was great. The navy with white pinstripe third was nice too.

ConfusedGunner

I thought we were going to Adidas next season?

Sal

Was it 2010 when we had the classic round white collar a la ’71? Bring it back!

Franzsigel

Yep, 2010/11 – our last great home kit, and the last shirt I bought. It’s quite simple really – make it look as closely as possible to the 1979-short and you can’t go wrong. Please tell Puma…

Sean Juba

Well even if it looked like the best kit ever I’m not spending anymore of my hard earned on merchandised and making those wankers on the board even richer

lula

yellow. we play In yellow.

Ninety-nine percent possession

I used to like singing “come on you yelloooows” back in the 1970’s.

Now it’s “come on you dark bluuuueee fading into light bluuueeee”. Or “come on you Biscay Greeeeeeenies”.

Doesn’t have the same ring to it.

Rectum+Spectrum

Puma are shit.

Goonerest

isn’t “Biscay Green” the name of Kronke’s NFL franchise?
