Arsenal’s first competitive match of the post-Arsene Wenger era will see the Gunners play Pep Guardiola’s reigning champions Manchester City at the Emirates.
Unai Emery’s players will then travel to FA Cup winners Chelsea before more palatable fixtures against West Ham at home and Cardiff City away.
The busy festive period will see the Gunners take on Burnley, Brighton and Liverpool and they kick-off 2019 with a trip down the Thames to Fulham.
The North London derbies will take place at the Emirates on 1 December and at Sp*rs new home in early March.
We conclude the season with an away trip to Turf Moor.
At this point, all fixtures are subject to change, as the TV companies are yet to make their live broadcast selections.
You’d imagine our first two games will definitely be on the box.

At least the title run-in looks easy on paper. Let’s show City and Chelsea this is a new Arsenal. COYG.
Did not see it that way! If only everyone could be as optimistic as you are.
Might be the best time to play Man City, with over half of their squad at the WC. Let’s hope our tough pre-season of Atletico, PSG and the renters puts us through our paces so we can hit the ground running with Mkhi, Auba, Laca and Rambo all fully fit.
That was exactly my first thought too- better when they’re tired and not in full schedule mid season form, while we’ve got fresh legs!
Yes! Let’s have a Brazil vs Belgium final please!
What I’d pray for is atleast 2 points from the first two games, and a long I beaten run till atleast Liverpool.. That should see us in a good position.
2 points. Fuck that, I want no less than 6.
If only Sane wasn’t left out of their World Cup squad!
I think im optimistic on the first two games… City and Chelsea may have more players out after the world cup break, if Belgium, Brazil, Spain and Argentina are in the semis. We may have more players available… well rested …like Auba, Laca, Mikhi, Ramsey, Bellerin….only issue i see is in the left back position
Good thing is that all the pressure will be on both City and Chelsea. We’re going to have a new manager, new team, new tactics, new setup. We’re going to be untested but also unknown. Expectation will be that we won’t get any points and, if we don’t, then losing to the big boys is better than our usual bogey teams, while if we do manage to get something then it could cement our intent for the rest of the season. Either way I’m excited! COYG!
Still the dailyshit’s and sun will start looking for new arsenal boss on 19th
You have a glass full to overflowing sir – but I’m right with you!
I’m sure I read something a while back that said the top six from the previous season would never meet on the opening weekend.
I remember thinking at the time, how come we played Liverpool on the 1st weekend in 2016. However, they finished 8th in 15/16.
Ah well, got to play them at sum stage!
At least we might be better prepared this year.
What the fuck? That’s just mean.
I thought fa was going to implement winter break in the league. Can’t be this season, that schedule looks as tight as ever
I believe the winter break is the two week gap between games in February.
9th Feb – 23rd Feb
From what I understand the ‘winter break’ will be a single weekend off in February. The off weekend will be split over 2 weeks with 5 fixtures going on each weekend. Whatever the case I think it’s set to come into force next year (19/20 season) only.
At least it’s not the Mugsmashers Andrew. (small mercies).
Wow…This is a really difficult start for us
The run in is kind…. hopefully that’ll be relevant.
I’m not so sure. Aside from Everton (and probably Leicester, but who knows with Mahrez likely leaving), any one of our last 10 opponents could be fighting for relegation* – never easy playing against a team fighting for their life!
*wishful thinking that moureen & sp*rs will be fighting for relegation, but a man can dream
Could actually be a very good time to take them on. Especially if all their stars go deep into the world cup. We’ve got plenty of class players who didn’t get selected or didn’t make it, but city’s whole team is basically in national teams you would expect to go into the latter stages of the knockouts.
Yup, was thinking the same thing. And facing Chelsea might also be good, if they are in disarray, as they seem to be right now
Even if we lose to City (and we were, remember, a very good team at home), it is not unreasonable that we could stand at 7-1-1 at the beginning of November.
Playing catch up again then
probably means we are going to be with-out ozil and monreal who will probably go deep into the world cup.
At least (for our selfish purposes) Nacho has another fullback he’s regularly rotated with or even ahead of him for selection.
01/12/2018 15:00 Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur
04/12/2018 20:00 Manchester United v Arsenal
Oh boy.
And again…
02/03/2019 15:00 Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal
09/03/2019 15:00 Arsenal v Manchester United
Both with Bournemouth before too, and Wolves either side on both occasions….Hmmm
Lazy Copy/Paste, or is Mike Dean in on this??
That second axis of shit also has Europa matches packed in there.
For god’s sake, what the fuck is this.
Queue the #UnaiOut Brigade!
Queue the ‘Queue the #UnaiOut Brigade!’ brigade more like it !!
*Cue
you are correct of course. Well played Sir.
Queuing them up might not be a bad idea though. Just have to decide what to do with them then.
We could of course just win our first two games… that would make Emery an instant hit!
Boxing day away again? Urgh.
On the plus side our run in looks good.
We could really use a big run from Belgium deep deep into the tournament
Lucky our players won’t be travelling to Singapore, Ireland and Denmark to play four matches in the course of a week and be knackered before the season starts and we have two tricky matches.
No club could be so silly as to do that.
Urm, every club including us do it due to financial pressure from sponsors and all. No point complaining about it.
Stockholm is in Sweden…
Pedant.
Tough 1st two games, yes. However the festive pile up is almost as kind as the last 8 games of the season so overall I’m happy with the fixtures.
Hoping we can end October with at least 24 points on the table…
Yes, our opening two fixtures appear irritating. But just look at who’s involved from those clubs in the World Cup. The knock-out stages take place from June 30th to July 15th. If players get four weeks’ off after involvement just how many will be match fit by 11th and 18th of August? As things stand … Man City (16 players): Sergio Aguero (Argentina), Gabriel Jesus (Brazil), Fernandinho (Brazil), David Silva (Spain), Raheem Sterling (England), Vincent Kompany (Belgium), Bernardo Silva (Brazil), Nicolas Otamendi (Argentina), Danilo (Brazil), Benjamin Mendy (France), Ederson (Brazil), Fabian Delph (England), Ilkay Gundogan (Germany), Kyle Walker (England), John… Read more »
Don’t you think Sterling, Walker, Delph, and Stones (as well as Welbeck) will actually have plenty of time to rest?
When do we play stoke away?
Hahaha
lmao it’s terrific isn’t it
Don’t tempt fate. Knowing our luck it’ll be a rescheduled FA cup game shoehorned into the four days between our Europa trip to play FC Thug in the frozen wastelands of Farawaytania and the derby match at a hazardous building site in N17.
So we can open up an early lead on our title rivals.
At the end of the day, every team plays 38 matches and the team with highest points wins the championship, period.
I hope that will be my Arsenal come May ’19!
I believe! COYG !
Perfect start. We will be in fire with a new manager, new players and new tactics. Those moneycunts won’t know what hit them.
Can’t wait for the new season!
7 Games in December…..
only 3 in november… but hey new start i hope Unai doesnt have a month where his team always play shit.
And only one Top 6 team in 4 February matches. Hoping not to curse us but our bogey months aren’t looking as daunting as they have the past few seasons.
But yeah, December looks a bear. Shit, shite, and mugsmashers.
Win the league at white hart lane (again) then manure have to do the guard of honour.
I think we would have to win all our games to wrap up the league by the 2nd March.
I think we’ll have to settle for win at home to man united and get a guard of honor at wolves.
Nothing to lose after last year and better to meet teams before they settle into a winning pattern!
Why do we play Liverpool twice in one month?
I believe the winter break is the two week gap between games in February.
9th Feb – 23rd Feb
Spurs followed by utd twice this season. That’ll be fun.
It makes you wonder how ‘fixed’ the fixtures are?!
Anyway, let’s upset the fixers and take maximum points in August.
No, it doesn’t. Not if you have a rational mind anyway…
Nice easy end of season run in as we romp to the title.
A chance to hit it off early.
Btw, and as usua,l utd with the easiest schedule possible!
Everyone has to play the other 19 teams twice?
But we’re the only ones with two top 6 back-to-back runs, both Sp*rs to Manure. Double redundant.
Not sure if anyone else noticed, but there are 2 8-game stretches where we could ‘pad up’ points, if decide to be flat-track bullies this time. First one is immediately after the first two toughies and the last one, as most have indicated, end of season run-in.
Let’s be amazing this season, please! Thank you!
I plan a trip to UK this November and hope to see a live match in the stadium. On the dates I’m in, I don’t see a single Arsenal match. Checking FIFA calendar, it turns out that it’s the time for interlull. The whole two weeks. *cries in the corner*
I feel your pain. It’s happened to me all three times I’ve been in London.
I like it. Man City and Chelsea won’t have many players back after the world cup. It’s the best time to play them. Also we always tend to screw up the start of the season. So no pressure!
So nice to see that we aren’t playing Stoke, West Brom, and Swansea this season. Those 3 teams usually cost us 7-10 points a season the last several years.
August, December and March will be tough. Hope Emery prepares well.
January looks okayish too. That’s where we usually bottle it.
Hard to see man city not winning the league tho. Fuck the rich c…ts.
Martial to spurzy c…ts would not help our top four dream. But then again … we might b awesumly good with a proper midfield.
Not been this excited for a new season for years. Absolutely gutted I didn’t renew my season ticket last year. Hopefully get to as many matches as possible still
There I was ….. all summery and relaxed….. then I read that and got an immediate dose of the squits
It’ll be tough but he’ll get an excellent read on his teams capabilities. Can’t shy away from a challenge. Optimistically we can catch them off guard before they’ve had games to scout out his new tactics.
I like it. Emery will soon find out what is required of him and the team to move Arsenal to the top of the table again. Can’t wait. As long as I can see the effort is being put in I’m fine with whatever the results may be.
10 of 12 first matches in London….
