According to the Evening Standard, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Lucas Torreira are both injury doubts for Sunday’s game against Everton.
The duo were on the receiving end of hefty challenges during last night’s 4-2 win over Vorskla in the Europa League and will be monitored by the medical team over the next 24 hours.
Mkhitaryan is understood to have an ankle problem while Torreira, who made his first start for the club, required an ice pack on his knee after being substituted.
An absence for one or both could be covered in the short-term given the number of midfield options at Unai Emery’s disposal, but it would hamper his quest to settle on a preferred starting lineup.
Matteo Guendouzi and Mesut Ozil were both used off the bench yesterday, while Aaron Ramsey was left out entirely.
Bad news on the Terrier, let’s hope he gets his bark back, he looked great on Thursday.
I think Ramsey will be sold in January!! Shame about the injuries, hope they ain’t serious
y tho
Unfortunate.
Torreira was just getting up to speed.
Hope he’s back on his feet again before Sunday ?
