Alex Lacazette did not travel to Bournemouth for this afternoon’s clash at the Vitality Stadium having picked up a minor groin injury.
The striker trained yesterday but it was decided not to risk him after he felt some tightness. There’s no suggestion it’s a serious problem.
Lacazette was a late call-up to the France squad during the Interlull but withdrew almost immediately following a consultation with the Arsenal medical team. It’s not clear whether there’s a link with today’s groin problem.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who also missed his country’s international last week, will start up front against the Cherries on his own. Unai Emery has also switched formation, bringing in Sokratis to go with three at the back.
