Well… without Auba, Rambo and Mesut in the squad, it’s not like he has a lot of alternatives. But if they’re all not included for “tactical reasons“, I’m starting to get a bit worried about Unai‘s decisions to be perfectly honest.
Seeing as the bench is no better, I don’t see many options.

I think he is being told in no uncertain terms he must leave in the Summer if he wants to play football.
If Emery genuinely wants a decent shot at the Financial Fair Play league next season he has to offload Ozil in the summer
And buy a creative mid for free right… Intelligent
I am not an Ozil supporter but the tactics of deprieving him of football so that he leaves is wrong. Putting him on the bench so that he performs better is what I support.
Pretty convinced the instruction to isolate ozil is from higher above, probably due to his huge salary, and the club’s newish strategy to tighten the cashflow. Disappointed that Arsenal would act like this.

Do you really think we are going to beat Liverpool, Man City, Spurs, Chelsea & Utd to a top four place? If you do then fair play but I’m a realist, Europa is our best chance.

We don’t have to beat man city, Liverpool, spud, chavski and manure to get into the to four – only need to get ahead of two of those, probably manure and chavski
According to my reality we only have to beat two of the 5 teams mentioned. And sorry for the BS but I stand by my being in bed assessment. But I am positive we will get a good run again (hears how something behind him gets ready to bite him in the arse)
We don’t have to beat those teams–we only have to beat the teams we play. Every remaining match is winnable; only Man United at home and the North London Derby away are against top opponents. The first will be difficult if United have not come back down to earth; the second is always completely unpredictable.
It’s a battle between Chelsea, Man Utd and ourselves. Chelsea lost 6-0 today and there are 12 matches left so why be so negative
In 5th place and 1 point behind 4th so we have no chance? Of course Wmery takes the one trophy we can seriously but not totally at the expense of challenging for a top 4 place

Auba didn’t train with the team on Thursday due to illness and didn’t travel with the squad last night. Kos had same illness apparently on Tuesday and Wednesday. Maybe a bug going through the team.
Ozil didn’t travel but don’t know why or why Ramsey isn’t there.

That XI is very depressing. Not all his fault. There’s a lot of long term injuries and some sickness. Thank God it’s Huddersfield but we’re always the easiest team to beat for minnows. For some reason.

There are plenty of players in our squad that I really rate, however if you read all 18 of those names out on that team sheet today it is cleary not top four material. Anyway let’s get behind them GOYG!!

Results are ultimately all that matter when the game is in the rearview mirror, so hopefully Emery gets the three points we so desperately need today with this lineup. But I have to say, Emery sure knows how to dampen expectations in the leadup; I really do miss the way we would set up to attack and take the game to the opposition. For sure, but isn’t the point of bringing in a new manager to get us back to where we should be, rather than cementing our position where we are? I realize he needs time to get the team he wants, but I am disappointed that he’s not doing a better job cultivating the Arsenal brand. Yes….but I think there’s a huge underestimation going on of the job he is facing. Whether that’s loyalty to Arsène I’m not sure….but Emery walked into a right mess : a weakish, unbalanced squad, lacking in character & leadership ……or even a discernible style of play.
This season is about steadying the ship from it’s rate of decline. Am I happy with all of his decisions? Of course not…..but to be as close to the top 4 now given where we were when he took over is quite an achievement imo. I’m prepared to wait before passing judgement.
Fair enough, but the top-four was the measuring stick with which we used to beat Wenger and the squad, again and again and again. I think many justified the dismissal of Wenger and co. last year because he’s had a squad good enough to make the top four, but he hasn’t been able to get the performances. Obviously you haven’t supported the club that long, if you’re not going to watch because of ‘a lack created players’. We used to have David Hillier and John Jensen in the same midfield once…..and that was before all these Arsenal keyboard-supporters.
