Arsenal take on Man Utd at the Emirates this afternoon in a game which will go some way to deciding our top four hopes. Can we bounce back from the 3-1 defeat to Rennes in midweek?

I like the lineup in that it’s attacking and he’s trusting Ozil in a big game, but surely Ramsey next to Xhaka in a deeper role is a recipe for disaster on the counter? I feel like we could be cursing Torreira’s suspension later. Hope I’m wrong
I doubt there’s much choice. Torreiras suspended and Guendouzi’s in Desperate need of a rest (I also suspect he’s the one emery said was more down than him after Rennes). The only other option is Elneny and that’s seemingly not part of the plan
Elneny harassing and marking Pogba out of the game wouldn’t be a bad plan.

Mhki out – damn those footballing god’s ! It seems every time a player comes into form and becomes central to the way the team want’s to play, they pick up an injury. Not much depth on the bench to really change the course of the game either.

That’s a line up with a lot of pace, power and attacking intent. Ramsey/Xhaka midfield has never really worked very well but fingers crossed there is a plan to mitigate that. Surprised there’s no Mkhi at all but that might be tiredness from playing fullback in midweek.
With Chelsea behind this really is a golden opportunity when you look at the rest of our fixtures. Must win.
Feels ages ago when we used to criticize Emery being too conservative with his squad selection… because this is very ambitious!
Hopefully this game is a proper classic with a positive result!

We´ve been here before. Big week with big games that will determine our season. Usually this is also the time where everything goes to shambles – 10-2 vs. Bayern etc. I´m very sorry that I´m not optimistic before this game and the fact that this looks like 3-5-2 = they are going to rip us apart. But it´s not the same for me watching Arsenal as it used to be.

Just going off that, it looks like this will be the first time Emery has used Ramsey in a holding two this season. Interesting timing, let’s see if it pays off!

One thing is for sure you can never tell what lineup Emery will put out there. Glad Mustafi is on the bench and Kolasinic is back in there. Biggest surprise is his starting Ozil, glad he did and hope he is the key.
