Arsenal Women have been drawn to play Fiorentina in their Round of 32 Champions League tie- their first appearance in the competition since losing to Birmingham City in 2014. Fiorentina qualified by virtue of finishing 2nd in Serie A last season.
The Gunners were one of the 16 unseeded teams due to their absence from the tournament, they will play the first leg at Meadow Park on either 11th or 12th September and the second leg will take place in Florence a fortnight later.
On Sunday they reclaimed the @FAWSL title??????? … and today marks exactly 12 years since @ArsenalWFC became England's only #UWCL winners? pic.twitter.com/5XfENW8wwz

The English sides get a favorable draw. Thank goodness, we need all the time we can buy to build chemistry with the new players.
Let’s hope that this is a tie that Arsenal Woman can navigate their way through without too much difficulty.
Correction…Arsenal Women.
And without picking up any new injuries
Go get them, Gunners!
An opponent that Arsenal should beat.
A good draw for us although will not be taken for granted by Joe & the team. Time to get into the groove with the new signings?
