Wow, a bit surprised not to see Martinez, Maitland-Niles, and Kolasinac in the starting lineup, but Arteta knows best. Hopefully we can continue to improve our overall game. I’m eager to see what Willock can produce tonight, and if Laca can find the net again!
Guessing AMN has done his “I’m not a RB” piece and that attitude won’t fly with Arteta…
You’ve got to feel for Martinez, this could well be the nail in his Arsenal coffin. I think like Fabianski and Szczesny, we’ll lose him and he’ll go on to be a really solid goalkeeper.

with saka and guendouzi providing movement and defensive cover wide, martinelli will hopefully be on his favoured left but i think he will play rw, with auba on the left and willock in the 10 role. leaving laca up top.
who knows, maybe he is playing guendouzi as a right wing back, and thats what the tiff was about?

yeah i questioned it when we started vs leeds, as sok doesnt strike me as mobile enough for the role.

No disagreement with the lineup, except Martinelli doesn’t play in Saka’s wing.
They are forming a lethal bond that shouldn’t be broken down now.
Did not expect that, especially with big game on Sunday. Put it yo bed first leg now hopefully give some of the other guys a game at home.
Martinelli and Aubameyang both look better from the left, I’m not entirely convinced it’s the best balance.
But I still fancy us for a few goals tonight, we’ve got three players who’ll look to get beyond Lacazette as he steps out.
And Saka is the best 18 year old in Europe, thought we’d rest him tonight, but can’t say I’m disappointed we haven’t, such an exciting player.
they work better when auba is in the cf role and martinelli is in the lw role.
id like to see those roles reversed and see how well they work together, but thar requires pepe on the right, not laca.

Ozil out, Ceballos bench and even Pepe benched for MoM performance (Arteta: “Pepe needs run of 10 games to build form”. Not much creative play left in the lineup. At the same time, Olympiacos is garbage that we should walk past. If not, we can make Mari and Soares permanent, nobody else is coming.
