I really like this line up. Should be our default line up against smaller teams until we get Aouar and until Pepe replaces Willian ?.
Ceballos is has been poor takes too many touches on the ball only to then pass it sideways back to Xhaka and then apologize to runners making good runs infront of him.

Very excited to see if Saka can build on his incredible debut period for us last season – he was quietly taken out of the limelight at the end, as he seemed to run out of gas, but hopefully he is ready to build on that excellent beginning. We need him to.

It’s looking like a really bad decision – might have been better off playing AMN in a back four, and adding Elneny to control the midfield better. As Rick says below, our midfield passing is horrendous — we’ve given the ball away too easily far too often.
Every game is a must-win this season, especially at home against a club struggling for form like West Ham. Arteta needs to shape everyone up at halftime and send out 11 winners. I thought we were done with giving away goals for nothing, but apparently not — Arteta has to cut that out.
Tierney picked up an injury during the warm up.
Can’t quibble with the quality in the lineup, but I’ve enjoyed watching AMN playing well recently. Hope this doesn’t mean he’s on his way out.

Why is Kolasinac starting ahead of Tierney when he wasn’t on the line-up? Injury? The team has not been fluid so far. Kolasinac should have done better for the Hammer’s equalizer.

Kolasinac is bad. Makes you realise how good Tierney is. Sunny understand why he’s gone with a different team to last week. It’s not clicking, midfield feels overrun

I don’t know what happened with Kola. I thought he was tremendous in his first season with us. Great physical presence, good offensive output. But now he looks out of character I feel.

Finger crossed Tierney’s injury is not a long layoff or else we might be in big trouble this season. He played in all of the games we won against the top teams recently.
As soon as I heard that Tierney was injured and Kolasinac was playing I knew the clean sheet was seriously under threat.

He’s three years older, quite a different type of player, more versatile, less of a forward
yeah i think amn plays the better false wingback, but saka as a wide forward offers more creatively.
Are you mental? Saka was the only one today working his socks off to find space and he made the 2 goals we scored with pre-assists that unlocked the defense.
Kola messed everything up because he can’t defend or pass or find space. Never want to see him play again.

Yes, pretty happy how it all panned out. Still, that was lucky today and Saka was pushed around quite often. Feel like Ainsley would’ve been the more composed option. And goonerink is spot on!
