Arsenal have confirmed that youngster Ryan Alebiosu has joined Crewe Alexandra on loan for the rest of the season.
The 20-year-old defender moves to Gresty Road to gain senior experience having progressed through the ranks at Hale End and London Colney.
He’s definitely heading into a high-pressure situation. The Railwaymen are currently 22nd in League One and face a real relegation battle over the next four months.
While Alebiosu hasn’t played for the first team, he’s trained regularly with the senior squad in recent months and was on the bench for the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg versus Liverpool and for Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Burnley.

Ok sure I get that we need to send all these youngsters on loan, but this is the 3rd player who can play at rb and involved in the first team squad who has left in the window after Chambo and AMN. Anyone else not quite seeing the transfer wood for the trees?
A lot of potential deals / targets seem to be falling through. Best wait til the transfer window us shut. Hopefully Edu is oiling up the wheels in anticipation of a mad last minute trolley dash.

I comment on FACTS – the fact is that we want top four but the FACT is that our squad is now weaker than it ever was.
