Arsenal Women’s game away at Everton has been rearranged and will be shown live on Sky Sports. The match will still take place on Sunday, 24th April at Walton Hall Park but will now kick off at 6.45pm.
The Gunners are one point behind Chelsea at the summit of the WSL with four games left to play. Everton is Arsenal’s next WSL match, they then play Aston Villa at Meadow Park on Sunday, 1st May.
Arseblog News understands that the North London derby, which was postponed on Saturday, 23rd March due to covid cases in the Spurs team, is likely to take place on Wednesday, 4th May at Emirates Stadium. Then they travel to West Ham on the final day. Arsenal need to win all four of their remaining games and hope Chelsea at least draw one of their games to win the title.
Thanks for nothing Sky!
Do we really need/want football played on a Sunday evening?
I was hoping that FA Player would follow through with their promise of showing all WSL games live at sensible times even if it became a subscription service but now Sky and BBC are involved there is no chance of that happening.
I am not yet a travelling fan (1st season attending games, so baby steps and all that) but if this trend continues, I won’t be any time soon! 🙁
Does anyone know if Rafaelle Souza is still injured I cannot get any info on the Arsenal website.
According to Tim’s preview of the Leicester game both Fafa and Mana were “doubtful” due to missing recent games through injury so I suspect the answer to your question is yes.
BTW the Arsenal website is normally about a day if not more behind this blog so look here first for news!
She has a thigh injury and has pulled out of the Brazil squad but is certainly not ruled out of the Chelsea game yet.
I gather Sky are showing the Liverpool-Everton boys’ game at 4.30pm that day. Perhaps that could be shunted to 6.45 to allow an earlier KO for the women…
