SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIT….
Arsenal will face Everton in Baltimore as part of this summer’s pre-season tour of the United States.
The match, which will take place at the 71,000-capacity M&T Bank Stadium on 16 July, 2022 will precede those that have been arranged in Florida against Orlando City and Chelsea on 20th and 23rd July respectively.
The Gunners were due to take on Everton in a Stateside friendly last summer but pulled out at late notice due to a Covid-19 outbreak in the squad.
On the upcoming fixture, Mikel Arteta said: “We’re excited to be travelling to Baltimore for a fixture against one of my former clubs, Everton. We’ve heard all about Baltimore’s friendly reputation, it’ll be a great occasion in a world-class stadium, and we can’t wait to see our fans there.
“We’re very pleased to see our pre-season schedule taking shape with a series of matches against strong opposition. Our U.S. fans hold a special place in our heart and we’re looking forward to playing in front of them.”
No doubt Eddie Nketiah will be excited about the prospect of playing in his hometown.
LOL!
Hopefully we can first relegate them on the last day of the season.
They have games in hand of Leeds and Burnley so it’s likely they will be safe before that last match
It’s all in the game
Too sophisticated humor for me..
If you walk with jesus
He’s gonna save your soul
You gotta keep the devil
Way down in the hole
Maybe a controversial opinion but I think the first and second season versions of the theme tune were the only good versions.
I prefer the theme of the last season… Here we are talking about some TV show just not to think too much about the spurs game!
2nd season’s is the original -tom waits. i’m from baltimore, used to work social services on the west side — the wire makes me homesick.
Gabriel Jesus.
For anyone confused by the first sentence:

(The Wire was set in Baltimore)
Thanks, that was helpful!
And what’s that about Nketiah-Stanfield connection?
Eddie looks like Marlo Stanfield.
The first time I saw him (the “Eddie! Eddie!” game), me and about 10,000 other people thought of Marlo. In terms of personality, not looks, I think there’s a bit of McNulty in Ben White.
Not even close…
Did. I don’t think he does any more.
Seeing Jamie Hector in David Simon’s new Baltimore series “We Own This City,” I realized that Eddie now looks more like Marlo than the original actor who played Marlo does.
Oh jeez, you are absolutely right. I didn’t even realize that was the actor who played Marlo–I knew he looked familiar, probably from The Wire, but couldn’t place him.
The return of ‘Marlo Stanfield’ Nketiah yeeee loving The Wire references, Sheeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit
We sold Pepe to take our team where we longed to be,
We left our kin and all our fans back there in Highbury,
So buy some match day tickets, we’ve not been here before,
We’ve got a meaningless pre season friendly in the streets of Baltimore.
Apologies to Charley Pride
Saw the headline and came for a Clay Davis reference. Was not disappointed.
clearly this indicates we’re resigning marlo.
And Marlo will be played Eddie
Baltimore is only an 8-hour drive from where I live, so this might be the closest Arsenal will play to me for a long time. Will have to consider making the road trip for this.
i may book a flight home. from baltimore, but in seattle now.
I can’t believe the Arsenal are coming to my hometown 🤤 Will definitely be there!
