Arsenal forward Beth Mead has been voted as the Arsenal Women’s Supporters Club Player of the Season. Mead notched up 11 goals goals and eight assists in her 22 WSL appearances this season.
After a summer that saw Mead surprisingly omitted from the Team GB squad for the Olympic Games as Arsenal added wide forwards Nikita Parris and Tobin Heath to the squad, Mead flew into the 2021-22 campaign with an opening day double in the 3-2 win over Chelsea at Emirates Stadium in September.

Mead surpassed 150 Arsenal appearances, 50 WSL goals and became the first woman to score a hat-trick in a competitive game at Wembley this season while on international duty. She also enjoyed her best season in front of goal since joining the club in 2017. We will have a short interview with Beth about her season at the end of the Arsenal Women Arsecast May mailbag edition.
Beth has also been nominated for the Barclays WSL Player of the Season award, alongside teammate Vivianne Miedema.

Congratulations, Beth Mead. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations Beth!

Thanks for your coverage this season Tim, top level analysis and updates on an exciting and ultimately improved season for Arsenal Women. It seems to me that team results, i.e.… Read more »
