Arsenal take on Leeds at the Emirates, looking for three points in the continued chase of a top four finish.
Here are the official line-ups.
Arsenal: Ramsdale, Tomiyasu, Holding, Gabriel, Cedric, Xhaka, Elneny, Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Nketiah
Subs: Leno, Tavares, Swanson, Oulad M’Hand, Lokonga, Patino, Smith Rowe, Pepe, Lacazette:
Leeds: Meslier, Ayling, Firpo, Koch, Llorente, Phillips, Kluch, Raphina, Harrison, Gelhardt, James
Subs: Klaesson, Cresswell, Struijk, Hjelde, Bate, Shackleton, Gray, Greenwood, Rodrigo
Ok, I actually don’t hate Cedric at LB. Maybe a case for ESR at LW given our need to break the lines. But overall, looking good lads and such a beautiful day for a match I am a little concerned that a lot of people I talk to say this will be 3 or 4 nil. I find that hard to believe. We’ve only won games by more than one goal 3 times with year. And 2 of those were Chelsea and United which, let’s be honest, could’ve gone the other way. The run-in isn’t about glitzy performances and comfortable… Read more »
Or maybe Tomi plays LB?
What does everyone think?
Ah, looks like Tomi at LB.
Ok, that’s interesting. Played a bit there in Italy I hear. Really hope it’s a similar performance level to what he usually gives us.
Who’s this massive prick posting this nonsense?
☝️☝️☝️
I don’t mind changing it up at LB to see how things go. I did notice whoever plays LW hasn’t been as effective when Tavares plays, so hopefully Martinelli can show us today
With Tomyiasu back we will be defensively stronger. I look at the Leeds lineup only real attacking threat Raphina. I’m confident our guys will pit in a strong performance.
True. Martinelli spent much of his time in the game against West Ham supporting Tavares.
We must send Tavares on loan for next season, or sell him; something must be done there. We can’t afford a passenger there with the quality of games we’ll be playing.
Is ESR not fully fit or do you think we’ll try wear Leeds out with the high tempo martinelli?
It doesn’t matter who we put out. I’m still shitting myself (and will continue to do so until the end of the season).
Perhaps an extra use for the poo-ometer has been found…
I say 6 poos today. The next one will be off the scale, a poo-ocalypse!
On second thoughts, looks like it’s going to be a clean one whistling down the tubes, no need to wipe even.
On third thoughts, a horrible rumbling emanting from below, must dash.
I’m quesy.
I’m queso
That’s cheesy, bro 😂
So cheesy my lactose intolerance is starting to act up 😂
How cheesy
dangerously cheesy
I guess switching in Cedric is to try and counter Raphinha. Here’s hoping it works!
Could be Cedric right and Tomi left. Probably not…but it could be…
Bollocks: it’s because Arteta doesn’t trust Tavares. It looks like Nuno will probably be gone in the summer.
Personally, I’d send Tavares out on loan in the summer, or maybe just forget about playing him in defence and use him as a left-sided attacking midfielder, which is what he is.
Shame for him.
Pitting Cedric against Raphinha’s pace could backfire. Tavares should have started. Seems to me Martinelli has been put under pressure to support Cedric and deal with Raphinha’s pace which can make us lopsided in organization. Hope it works but I wouldn’t be amazed if it didn’t!
Tomi is two footed. Surely he’ll start at LB and Cedric at RB
Tomi Will play left. COYG
Tavares has some good attacking instincts but he can’t hold his position so no use as a LB. I say try him playing further forward, don’t just give up on him
Sensible decision to leave out Tavares. Kid has been simply way out of his depth. Good luck to either Tomi or Cedric, whichever one is playing there.
3 points on deck.COYG!
Good team selection – there will be no excuses if things don’t go to plan. This could be the key match in the run in. Taking the 3 points today and we should be a little more relaxed for the Sp*rs game. Anything less and it really will be squeaky bum time, as Sir Alex may have said. I suspect that it will be much closer than some of the more optimistic Gooners (although I really hope I’m wrong). Leeds have plenty to fight and an early Arsenal goal would help settle nerves but like all of us I’ll take… Read more »
Bloody Chelsea Ladies have won the title and the Chelsea ove-in on the BBC website is enough to make you vomit! They didn’t win because they were a better team, we gifted them the title by the shock loss to Birmingham, just a draw in that match would have made us champions 😥
And if that isn’t bad enough there was a mention that Viv might be off to Barcelona 😥😥
So taking all the above into account bloody well win today lads!
Not just that game, but that period when we drew games we should have won. If I remember correctly, it was when Leah Williamson was out injured. You really notice her when she isn’t there!
Red card no question about it.
NOW STAY HEALTHY!

Xhaka talking to Ayling: “it was a straight red if it was me bro” 🙂
Can Xhaka stop getting in the faces of the Leeds boys for God’s sake. We are in control. Leeds are down to 10 men. It’s an easy 3 points which is all we need even if we don’t score more. We don’t need a pointless yellow or even a red which will rule him out of NLD.
Does not seem that easy now!
By any means !
