Brooke Norton-Cuffy has committed his long-term future to Arsenal, the club have confirmed.
The 18-year-old right-back, who impressed on loan at Lincoln City last season and was a member of the England under-19s that won this summer’s Euros, was set to be a free agent next summer and had a number of clubs interested in signing him.
On signing his new contract, he said: “I’m really over the moon to sign for such a great club.
“I’ve been dreaming of this day for a long time and I worked hard for this moment and I’ve got it, so I’m very proud.“
It’s expected that Brooke will head out on loan in the coming weeks with the Championship a likely destination.

Oh man, it would be nice to have an academy fullback for next season or the season after…then to not have to worry about the position for the next 10-15 years.
It is allowed; but be sure your feet is back on the ground ASAP. Cedric needs to be pushed further backwards.
Why take what is a positive post, and give it a negative slant? Cedric, has been OK (albeit not a world beater) and given his all. How about supporting all players who wear our colours?
It depends on your perspective. For me, Norton-Cuffy replacing Cedric is a positive way of looking at it. He is the future.
Yeah, but you also gave a young player a talking-to about how he should celebrate signing an exciting contract at his dream club. Living the dream.
That was meant to be a tongue-in-cheek comment.
Good lad. Congratulations on the new deal, well deserved. Now go and tear up the Championship as the best right back in the league. And do all you can to relegate Stoke and their lowlife fans to League 1 while you’re there.
The lad has confidence. We’ll be watching. 🙂
Congrats, Son. Continue to soar to greater heights.
