Laura Wienroither starts at right-back for Arsenal’s WSL opener at home to Brighton this evening with Noelle Maritz dropping to the bench. Caitlin Foord is fit enough to start on the left hand side with Katie McCabe at left-back.
Steph Catley starts on the bench alongside new signings Lina Hurtig and Kalyan Mackerse. Jordan Nobbs, Mana Iwabuchi and Frida Maanum also start on the bench.

4-0: Goals for Little, Blackstenius and Meado (2). Brighton had a player sent off after 7 minutes for tripping Blackstenius when she was through on goal. After that, Arsenal attacked most of the game but often finishing or final passes were a bit sloppy else it could have been a rugby score. Good match. Great result. Weinroither looks good. Hurtig looks an absolute handful (loved the flick second half). Nobbs looks healthy & hungry.
My own quibble with the evening was the catering….how can anyone be that slow? It’s honestly one of life’s last remaining mysteries!
