Bruce

Play well.

What a lovely looking side we’ve got out ! Congrats Hein well earned start !

PGunner

Good luck Karl, although I was kinda hoping for a lively 4-4 and lose on pens (but Karl saves at least 2)… shoot me down I don’t care

One Beat Off

Here is another chance, take it!!

That’s a lot more rotation than I was expecting and a tad surprised Turner didn’t get the nod in goal.

However, Brighton have rotated 9 players themselves (only March and Caicedo retain) so I still fancy our chances.

Arsepedant

Brighton’s three top scorers Gross, Trossard, and MacAllister have 15 of Brighton’s 22 league goals this year, and of them only Gross is even in the squad. I think our back line can easily keep Brighton at bay – it’s up to our fringe forwards to make a name for themselves today. Arsenal for the win!

I’m surprised Brighton have rotated so heavily. This is surely their best chance of silverware this season, and at the same time earning a place in Europe.

No doubt Welbeck will score a hat-trick with his thigh, hip, and arse.

Let’s beat them, lads. COYG!!!

It’s about Hein he got a game

That bench could go places…

The Only Olivier is Giroud

Just had a toke so feeling a bit reckless to offer an opinion but I reckon we keep a clean sheet with our Rolls Royce in defence and nick a jammy goal on 30 mins before adding some gloss late on to win this 2-0 COME ON YOU GUNNERS

No broadcast? Is this the 19th Century?

Mikels Arteta

Fuck the carabao cup

Merlin’s Panini

Hein over Turner. That’s a surprise. Given Turner was also overlooked in the Europa league it looks like Arteta may have lost confidence in him. If you’re the number two keeper you at least want to be playing these games. If Hein doesn’t impress here we might be looking for yet another goalkeeper in the upcoming transfer windows.

NorthernGooner

Not sure if that’s still the case but i thought Turner was injured

Ricky

Matt Turner still injured?

Maybe more likely Arsenal have been in communication with the USA coach in regards for resting him up until World Cup for recovery Zach Steffen is not getting the call so turner is the obvious starter over Horvath (championship) and Johnson (MLS) I would imagine.

Jamie Ryan

My guess is Ramsdale for the League, Turner for Europe, and Hein for League Cup. And I’d say Turner for FA Cup as well.

Good to see the 2nd and 3rd choice get some competitive starts. Must be hard just training all the time, with the very occasional U21 game thrown in.

The scum putting out their strongest eleven against Forest. Goes to show how desperate things can get when all you’ve won in the last 14 years is the square root of fuck all.😂😂😂😂

Conte defeated = Conte frustrated = Deep joy. 😊

Does anyone even care? I would comment on the game but since there is no broadcast, we’ll leave it that.

Less games, more time to focus on the competitions that really count.

Well said.

Actually glad we’ve got this out of the way early doors.

A shame, because, back in the day, the League Cup really was a fantastic competition and one we all looked forward to. Especially during the mid 80’s when, after the Liverpool fans behaviour in the Heysal stadium tragedy saw English clubs banned from Europe, domestic competitions became all the more sought after.

Now, of course, we have much bigger fish to fry, so onwards.

Reminded me of 1997 and following all the scores on Ceefax.
