Arsenal have confirmed that our FA Cup third round match at Oxford United will take place on Monday 9th January and will be broadcast in the UK on ITV1.
The trip to the Kassam Stadium falls halfway between a home match against Newcastle and the north London derby at Sp*rs. Those matches take place on the 3rd and 15th of January respectively.
The U’s, who are currently 13th in League One, have progressed to this stage of the competition after wins over Woking and Exeter. Karl Robinson’s squad includes ex-Gunner Marcus McGuane who left the Emirates for Barcelona in 2018.
We last faced them in 2003 when an own goal and a strike from Dennis Bergkamp secured a 2-0 win for Arsene Wenger’s side at Highbury.
Important matches either side, so good to have an easier one in the middle.
Nice! Partey is coming back from Qatar unscathed
