Friday night lights for City FA Cup clash

Arsenal have confirmed that the FA Cup clash with Manchester City at the Etihad has been scheduled for Friday, 27 January at 8pm. The fourth round tie will be broadcast by ITV.

The Gunners and Manchester City have a long history in the FA Cup dating back to 1904 when Woolwich Arsenal were beaten 2-0 away from home.

Since then we’ve beaten City on four consecutive occasions (1932, 1971, 2017 and 2020) going on to reach the final each time.

The last three of those cup runs resulted in trophy success at Wembley; a good omen if we can grind out a result at the end of the month.

Arsenal should have a pretty chunky away fan ticket allocation but the timing may not be ideal for some, who’ll likely have to get out of work early to make the journey.

I’ve got a sneaky feeling we’re going to do this, especially if Mudryk plays.
