Arsenal take on Leicester at the King Power stadium this afternoon, looking for three points to take back to North London.
Here are the official line-ups.
Leicester: To follow
Subs:
Arsenal: Ramsdale, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Jorginho, Xhaka, Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Trossard
Subs: Turner, Tierney, Tomiyasu, Kiwior, Holding, Smith Rowe, Vieira, Partey, Nketiah
Boom
Sak Sak, Xhak the room
Who’s the striker? Marty or Trossard?
And that’s exactly what Brendan will be thinking right about now…
Yeah, Thats for Rogers to figure.
Mick Lynch
Need him to get past those on the right wing mind
False trossard
Got to say, I love Martinelli as an impact sub. And I do feel we were getting a little predictable due to the same starting XI.
I feel good about this one. I think Leicester will have moments as they have some good players. But I think we’ll be ok and get the win.
3 – 1 Arsenal
COYG!!!!
Oh no! Looked at the headline and made an assumption.
I apologise.
Ooohh. This is interesting!
Yeah, I get it. Nketiah has been really good. But Xhaka and Martinelli have both suffered a little as a result of his more direct nature.
Time for a different tact.
And doing this does get our best players on the field together. I think Trossard is probably a little better than Eddie in most respects.
Let’s see if it helps Granit a little too.
Martinelli in the middle?
Probably Trossard. Has done it a few times for Brughton.
A small, Belgian coastal town, slightly south of Ostend. Famous for its pavilion.
Strong bench.
Nketiah on the bench?
A lot of games coming up, we’re going to need to rotate almost everyone
Your defence is in trouble… Nketiah on the bench.😀
Good call. Nketia not had single attempt on target in last 5 games. Only created one chance. Win today and two winnable home games follow. Jesus could be back for Fulham away. Martinelli and trossard swapping it up as they go could cause problems. COYG
Hasn’t been on target I 5 matches…Or in other words he hit the post/crossbar twice in the last match
Will be very interested to see how Martinelli and Trossard mesh, and especially who plays in the middle against a set defense.
Maybe they interchange? I like this move by Mikel, good to shake things up.
Would also like to see Vieira come on early in the second half, he needs more minutes to be effective. Games are thick & fast now, time to use that squad depth.
Strong bench; many there who could come in and change the game if need be. Leicester is not blessed with a solid defence at the moment; the second half might be key here again, like the Villa game.
There’s been a reddit rumour circling in the morning that Nketiah is benched as he’s been carrying a knock for the last couple of games.
I saw in a comment on the arseblog news team news article that Nketiah was benched because he has a stomach bug
the graun
One year on from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Oleksandr Zinchenko captains Arsenal. Hard not to get emotional about that, whichever team you support.
our classy club!!
Wow. That’s a nice move.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Arsenal continues to raise bars on what it is to be class. Zinny being made Captain today proves it. I continue to be in awe of this club I love so much.
That bench is hot. COYG!!!
Wow, the bench is a good indication of how much we are improving overall.
Dada is intrigued with the fluid front three.
“Dadaism” – a movement intrigued by fluid front three’s
Hahaha now it is
I hope Smith-Rowe gets some minutes today. He could be crucial when the fixtures start piling up
Amen brother, same for Vieira.
Trossard and Martinelli interchange play like peak Jesus and Martinelli did before his injury
That is a strong starting 11 and a strong bench. Wowza
VAR seem to have found whatever they can to chalk off our goal. If only they were as eagle eyed against Brentford.
It would have stood if White hadn’t held the Leicester player’s arm.
VAR is run by idiots without a doubt, but our players should not give them a reason to screw us over.
What the actual fuck var
Anyone know any good streams?
They cannot see obvious Brentford offsides or Man Utd players trying to knee cap the opposition but they can see that.
VAR is a great idea but having it managed by a bunch of moron’s it doesn’t stand a chance..
