Arsenal’s fine form has been recognised at the 2023 London Football Awards with Mikel Arteta, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale picking up manager, young player, Premier League player and goalkeeper of the year awards.
Odegaard beat off Saka for the main prize of the night while Saka pipped teammates William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli in the young player category.
Arsenal Women had nominees up for Women’s Player of the Year (Beth Mead & Kim Little) but they missed out to Chelsea’s Sam Kerr. Laura Wienroither was also in the running for Goal of the Season for her effort against Manchester United but the gong was won by a Sp*rs player.
Well done to everyone who was nominated and a particularly hearty pat on the back to the winners.

Prelude to lifting up the big one in May! Bite me, celebration police!😜
And above is the big one for Sp*rs, they should be immensely proud of winning the London goal of the season.
They aren’t going to win anything else…
Though I know that some will argue it has been fixed in their favour, having awards for 2023 in mid March is a bit weird.
Steady…
Congratulations to all our winners! Well deserved for a fantastic, table-topping season. Fingers crossed the title is awaiting in 2 months’ time.
Rammers not there to collect his award?
is this exclusive for footballers in London?? clean sweep for us, I know! but what a weird award! one game at a time, one award at a time 🙂
These type of awards are a load of crap.
Football is a team game and only team awards should matter. Besides, what really matters is the silverware and the medals. Subjective awards are meaningless: they’re about opinions and one opinion is no more valid than another. Sport always has been about winning. Win the title then you can really celebrate.
Nice suits, though.
Don’t know why you have so many downvotes for this. Is it because we’re ‘winning’ things?
No, it’s because the constant negative and contrary opinions are incredibly dull
I see. This time he’s right, though.
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.
Contrary opinions are dull…
Hmmm, no wonder England is up shit creek without a paddle right now.
Well being contrary for its own sake is dull.
“Well done on Arsenal for winning awards”
“Awards are meaningless”
I highly doubt Arteta will build his next team talk on this, but if the recognition boosts morale and the players love of playing for our club, then is it really such a bad thing – not like we invented the awards
These awards are obviously sponsored, and London is massive, with many teams compared to other cities in the world for sure so it makes sense. What no one can deny is that those that received the awards deserve the recognition except for anything Sp*rs of course, and congratulations to them! No one is more motivated to win than this lot, and that is what earns them the accolades. Also, as much as I want us to win, and have that winning mentality at all times. Sport has not ‘always been about winning’. For me, togetherness, competition, display of skill and… Read more »
“These awards are obviously sponsored…” – they’re run by Bob & Megs Wilson’s Willow Foundation charity. There’s a link in the very first sentence of the article.
Tell that to anyone with an Oscar.
An award show just for London footballers? There are quite a few clubs in the capital but still seems a bit of a limited field. Well done anyway to the Arsenal winners.
Are Leyton Orient pulling up trees? I mean, two nominations ahead of a few other clubs/players higher up in the league pyramid..?
Leyton Orient excel at halftime motivational talks by the manager.
Awesome award but should not be a distraction.
I remember after January performance and EPL awards, our February was woeful.
If we can repeat our January form in April, just go and rest, the trophy is ours.
Imagine beating City as we did Sp*rs and Liverpool as we did Man Utd, we can dream again and again!
Aren’t Tottenham a London club? Don’t seem to see them in any of the nominations 🤷
I remember a goal by Thomas Partey against Sp*rs that was pretty spectacular. Offering up an award to Sp*rs for a goal seems like whataboutery.
Not sure it counts if you’re on the receiving end

This is the history of the Tott-en-ham!
I heard that all of the nominations for Wanker of the Year were Sp*rs players, with Richarlison taking home the award.
And no, Sp*rs fans, that does not qualify as silverware
The bloke who kicked Ramsdale is a shoe-in for that one.
Ha! Did a real life LOL at this comment
Sp*rs Women on a 9-match losing streak. At least they’re equal opportunity shit mongers.

You can say that again
And change your name again (or cut and paste from someone else…)._
A couple more Arsenal things missing here – firstly, these awards are held by the Willow Foundation, the charity set up by Bob Wilson and his wife Megs. Secondly, an award for the Lionesses was collected by their captain, Arsenal’s Leah Williamson.
Don’t know why but I took lionesses to mean Millwall lionesses and found the last sentence confusing
I can think of other categories we wudda won hands down……..
Club worst treated by VAR
Youngest and most collectively handsome squad
Biggest windup artist(Ben white pipped Aaron Armadale to this one)
Most disliked London club by G Neville…… this is a dilligaf category ( do I look like I give a fuck)
Best centre mid player who is actually a left full
Etc etc
Got anymore?
Write em here!!!
Most exuberant celebrations?
Most FA fines paid while not giving a fuck?
Not fair really, of course we won the lot -There’s only one team in London!
The harbinger of greater things to come.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
It’s great to see arsenal players winning instead of man utd, man City all the time.
