Arsenal U18s take on their Manchester City counterparts at Emirates Stadium tonight in the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup in what should be an entertaining encounter.
The young Gunners have a host of very talented players in their side, including the likes of Ethan Nwaneri, Amario Cozier-Duberry Reuell Walters and Lino Sousa, who have all been called up to the senior squad at some stage this season.
Another player to look out for is Myles Lewis-Skelly, with the midfielder having a very important part to play for Jack Wilshere’s side.
The 16-year-old is still technically a schoolboy but he frequently plays above his age group and often provides the link between defence and attack.
Lewis-Skelly is capable of winning the ball back but his best qualities are in a creative sense as he relishes pushing forward and drawing fouls from opponents.
City have an extremely strong side and pose a significant threat in front of goal, so there is likely to be much work for Lewis-Skelly and his midfield partner Bradley Ibrahim to do.
If Arsenal are to make it through to the final of this prestigious competition then it seems likely that Lewis-Skelly will be heavily involved.
A player who often plays with a maturity beyond his years, tonight Lewis-Skelly will be determined to show why he is so highly regarded.
