Confirmed: Brooke Norton-Cuffy joins Milwall on loan

Arsenal have confirmed that Brooke Norton-Cuffy has joined Championship side Millwall on a season-long loan.

The England under-20 international heads to the Den having recently helped Coventry to the play-off final.

In the not-too-distant past, Norton-Cuffy was tipped to break into the Gunners first team but the 19-year-old hasn’t yet made that leap.

In fact, it looks as though Reuell Walters, a year his junior, has a better chance given he’s waiting in the wings behind Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu.

This will be Brooke’s fourth loan in the space of a year. He’s also featured for Lincoln City and Rotherham.

So far this summer, the Gunners have arranged loan moves for seven players (Catalin Cirjan, Mauro Bandeira, Billy Vigar, Hubert Graczyk, Mika Biereth, Charlie Patino) from the academy. Last summer, the total reached 16, so we’re expecting it to be a busy week.

Biereth was doing brilliantly until he was taken out in what should’ve been a red card challenge and will be out for three months. Scottish football is a cesspit.

Top talent in my view. I really like him.
Quick, strong, combative and good with the ball on his feet.
I hope he will prove himself again in this season.

Ebo

That seems like a carefully considered assessment, not just something you threw out off the cuffy

Stonks

For all them years I was Brooke
But I was fighting for ma life like Edward Norton

The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round

ClockEnder

Keep writing Stonks. It’s good for the soul.

Badaab

interested in his development, as i don’t know if he has the positional awareness we want in a defender, but perhaps he would work in a position further forward?

Heavenly Chapecoense

Norton-Cuffy, is that the new Java antivirus? I will get my coat.

Heavenly Chapecoense

I have big hopes all these youngsters will eventually succeed . Thought Akpom was going to retire in our academy. It turned out he is now enjoying a big success in championship.

Pookins

No he isnt. He signed for Ajax this summer

Cranky Colin

Decent player.
I watched a lot of the Sky Blues last season ( don’t worry, Gooners are my first love), and Norton Cuffy was very good at Championship level. Given licence to attack on the wing, he did so with some menace. Defensively very aware , and no sign of complacency in his play….
Almost like he has the M Arteta dna requirements instilled in him.

Have to be honest and say he wouldn’t break in ahead of our present wide players or their backups, but the potential is there certainly.

You’re welcome😂😂

Alberto Balsam Mendez Rodriguez

He was really impressive last season in the games I caught,
another year of progress and he should have a decent chance of getting into next seasons squad.

Franco

You missed marquinhos

Kwine

Not an academy player.
