Arsenal have confirmed that striker Tyreece John-Jules is joining Derby County on loan until January.
The 22-year-old striker heads to Pride Park to continue his development having helped Ipswich Town gain promotion to the Championship last season.
The England under-21 international has also played for Lincoln City, Doncaster Rovers, Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday since 2020 but has often been unlucky with injuries.
In his first interview since signing for Derby, John-Jules touched on his past fitness issues: “Injuries have been a big point in my career so far so it’s been tough, especially the last couple of years.
“Fingers crossed this season I can stay injury-free and play as many games as possible. I’m fit now, I’ve played the whole pre-season at Arsenal so I’m fit and ready to go.
He added: “I’m happy to be here, I’m excited to get started and see all the boys and get going. I’m familiar with a few of the lads already.”
Best of luck to Tyreece.
I just hope he can get an injury free season, he’s a good young player and by all accounts a lovely lad, he deserves some luck now.
Good to hear he’s feline fit and ready to go, his career has been on paws for long enough. He’s not got a great injury hisstory and missed the tail end of last season but this move could be purrfect for him. I do feel another big injury could be catastrophic but if it goes well it’ll be mewsic to our ears
This pawst is furtile as it ticks all the boxes on purrpiss.
Someones been watching Red Dwarf lately 😉
Feel sorry for him going to Derby county!!!
The double-barrelled, double entendre surname. Next time my 2yr old accidently (100% on purpose I’m beginning believe) murders my nether regions when playing (for keeps!) I’m going to exclaim: “ah, right in the John-Jules!”
