Leandro Trossard admits Arsenal cannot afford a repeat of their performance against Chelsea when they travel to Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The Gunners were below their usual standards at Stamford Bridge on Saturday but managed to rescue a point with late goals from Declan Rice and second half substitute Trossard.
And while the 28-year-old has hailed the sides’ impressive comeback, was keen to stress this should only be a one-off.
“We always want a result. We want to win every game,” he told Standard Sport. “That’s how we approach every game as well. That’s how we will do it for Sevilla and make sure we are ready for that.
“Of course, it’s a tough place to go (Seville). For Lens it was so many years since they played there as well, so I think we just need to make sure we are at it from the first minute.
“If we are playing our game and if we can control the game, I am absolutely sure that we can win. But if we are not, we give them a chance.”

“Well done to the boys – they never let their heads go down and kept believing,” he added.
“You can see you only need one moment to change a game. Declan scored a great goal and that got us into the game and believing again. As you can see, we were still able to take points away.”
Arsenal currently sit second in Group B after losing away to Lens last time out.
Dis les à tes gars de se bouger le cul dès la première minute, et non quand on est mené au score!
You do know that Arteta doesn’t read this blog, right? And even if he does, I don’t think he speaks French… although he could just use Google translate like I did, I suppose.
Arteta speaks French to french-speaking players a lot. He almost used to speak to Pépé in French only. Pépé said that in an interview.
You’re referring to that Colininterview right? People should listen to it to understand what really happened with him and Mikel. But it’s in french…
I think the French might be meant for Trossard? Presumably because our pal Stonky speaketh not Leandro’s native Dutch language, cést la vie (au moins quand tu es un fainéant) 🤷♀️
Hahaha these Belgians really confuse me. You never know who’s on the French team and who speaks Dutch
A gona mathata.
Je pense que’on doit ecrire en anglais si on veut etre compris.
I take it the forum doesn’t take kindly to diversity.
Estoy de acuerdo contigo.
il y a pas mal de francophones dans ce forum ! Je savais pas 😀
Non compren pas(pardon my French)😀
Oui, tu dois te faire pardonner en effet, lol.
Oui!
T’as raison
Bossard – Born to run!
Nice comment but for the fact that he’s not much of a runner, relatively speaking.
Born to G+A
Trossard’s been a stellar signing. It seems recruitment’s second choices are better than first! Other than Rice, I think Raya and Havertz are downgrades. Hope to be proven wrong
Why is nobody bugging up Havertz role. In the goal that was sublime
“Sublime”?! Really? He didn’t do anything except the obvious. Took a pass, moved it to an open Saka with a simple pass (in WAY too much space mind – terrible defending there). I mean, I’m not very good, but I think I could have even managed that.
