Arsenal Women have been drawn to play away at London City Lionesses in the Conti Cup quarter finals with the tie to be played on February 7 or 8 at Princes Park in Dartford.
The Gunners came through their group featuring Spurs, Bristol City, Southampton and Reading as group winners. Arsenal are the holders and record winners of the competition.
Arsenal last played LCL in the 2022 FA Cup where the Gunners were 1-0 winners at Meadow Park.
I’d be fuming if I were ManU fan
I don’t think they have anything to complain about. They were in the toughest group and didn’t score enough goals against the other teams. They are understandably disappointed to go out of the Conti Cup at this stage but the rules have been applied and they lost out narrowly. Shit I got to read the conti cup wiki page to understand why they didn’t qualify! Amazing tournament…
That was hilarious!! But that situation would have genuinely happened had Villa lost 1-0 to Sunderland. So it’s partly their own fault

Such a shame it’s not a home fixture. This is tougher than it might seem. They have nothing to lose, will be playing to make their fans proud. I also suspect the LCLs are a very physical team so I’m a bit worried that that + dodgy pitch might = injuries.
I predict 4-0
0-4 rather
I live a 20 minute walk from LCL’s ground so I’m pretty happy with this 😅😅😅
If played on the 8th, I hope you’re selected to play as a birthday treat! Happy birthday, Lessie xx
