Derby County have confirmed that Tyreece John-Jules will remain at the club for the rest of the season.
The striker moved to Pride Park in August to continue his development and has since made 12 appearances scoring twice.
Having suffered a serious thigh injury that kept him sidelined for a couple of months, most of John-Jules’ football has come since November. He’s predominantly been used off the bench but the fact he’s started the last two games in League One suggests he’s moving in the right direction.
Speaking to BBC Radio Derby after Monday’s 3-2 win against Burton, Rams boss Paul Warne said:
“We still have to be really cautious with him but he had moments tonight where you can see why we want him at the football club. He will be a big part going forward.”
With 13 days left of the transfer window, we’re expecting most of Arsenal’s business to be focused on Academy prospects.
There are rumours that 20-year-old attacker Khayon Edwards could head out on loan and it’s expected Mika Biereth, recalled from Motherwell, will venture to pastures new.
