Arsenal have confirmed that Mikel Arteta’s first team will gear up for the 2024/25 season with another tour of the USA.
For the second year in a row, the Gunners will face Manchester United, this time taking on the Red Devils at the KSE-owned SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on 27 July.
Arsenal will then head to Philadelphia to face Liverpool at Lincoln Financial Field on Wednesday 31 July.
The Gunners are planning a third fixture, thought to be in Las Vegas, but details of that one are yet to be confirmed.
Looking ahead to the summer, Sporting Director Edu said: “Our plans for pre-season are taking great shape. Playing against two strong teams in great stadiums in front of so many of our supporters will provide Mikel and the squad with a strong test and great experience ahead of the new season.
“We know how great SoFi Stadium is after our sold-out match there last year. The facilities are incredible and we’re excited to return. We look forward to making further announcements about our trip soon.”
Football fans won’t be short of matches to watch next summer. As soon as the European domestic campaigns and Uefa competitions end, Euro 2024 in Germany and the Copa America, which is being hosted by the USA, will be competing for eyeballs.
It doesn’t leave much time for the players to rest their legs, so it’ll be interesting to see what kind of squad makes it Stateside.
But when is Boreham Wood?
Can’t wait for the Arsecast recorded in Las Vegas!
