Arsenal have confirmed that academy winger Charles Sagoe Jr will spend the second half of the season on loan at Swansea City.
The 19-year-old moves to the Swans to gain further experience of senior football having made his Arsenal debut in the 1-0 Carabao Cup win over Brentford in September.
Charles will meet up with a familiar face at the Swansea.com Stadium (what a shite name); Charlie Patino moved there in the summer and has made 24 appearances so far.

In his first interview as a Swansea player, Sago Jr said: “I spoke to the manager and he told me that the philosophy is very possession-based, and the wingers are integral to how Swansea play.
“He wants them to be direct and get lots of crosses into the box, create chances for the team. That’s my game really, creating chances and getting opportunities to score.
“As a winger, I like to get on the ball a lot and help the team as much as I can.”
He also admitted Patino’s experience played a part in his decision to accept Swansea’s offer.
“It was a factor knowing this club gives a chance to young players,” he said.
“I feel like when I was watching the highlights and the games that I’ve been tuning into. Charlie has been playing really well, and him being promoted up and playing consistently had a big say in me coming to Swansea because I could see it’s a young squad, and young manager and I just want to be part of it.”
Best of luck to Charles for the second half of the season.
Thank you God. I am delighted to join @SwansOfficial on loan for the rest of the season. Can’t wait to get started! #YJB🦢 pic.twitter.com/sKDaVqxjYj

Like this. I think the fact that MA gave him a debut shows there is faith in him. Time to shine Charlie.
Needs the minutes plus the rough and tumble of championship football…
Sagoe or Sanogo? He made the right choice
Good move for him and hopefully us. Though I hope he gets more game time than Patino has over the last 3 months there.
Looks like the new manager doesn’t fancy Patino. He was starting regularly before that. Maybe someone who has followed his time there can shed some light on it.
