Arsenal Women’s home game against Bristol City has been rearranged for Sunday, 14 April at 6.45pm and will be shown live on Sky Sports.
The game was originally scheduled for Sunday, 31 March but had to be rescheduled since Arsenal reached the final of the Conti Cup and will face Chelsea at Molineux on that day.
The Bristol City game now takes place after the early April international break and with neither team in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, which take place during this weekend, the weekend is free for both teams.
Scheduling picks for Week 19 of the WSL have been made and Arsenal’s home game against Leicester City on 21 April stays in its 2pm slot. At the moment that game will be shown on the FA Player.
However, Chelsea’s game against Aston Villa had been chosen for broadcast that weekend and there is about a 1% chance of that game not being moved. Chelsea have a three goal first leg UWCL quarter final lead over Ajax and assuming it’s not overturned in the second leg, that match will need to be rearranged entirely. The Leicester home match time shouldn’t change but there’s a chance it will be picked up by Sky Sports.
How can I get from the Emirates to Meadow Park in 30 mins?!?
I wish they’d stop moving games to 6.45pm on a Sunday. Some of us have to travel a long way home then get up early for work 🙁
That’s commercialism for you. It’s all about TV and money. The women’s game is progressing exactly how the men’s game went but is lagging by 50 years or so! Make the most of it while you can.
Oh l do. I am conflicted though because l want the women’s game to progress but l used to really enjoy going to MP…. at a sensible time
Hear, hear! So annoying. I hope NewCo or whatever they end up calling themselves take a look at this issue.
I doubt they will as Peter Storey says its all about money and unfortunately without loads of it the women’s game will not move forward. We do need to enjoy it because one day it will be so far out of our reach just like the mens game 😐
