Arsenal U21s drew 1-1 at home to Tottenham Hotspur last night in a hugely entertaining game at Meadow Park.
Tottenham had taken the lead through Jude Soonsup-Bell but Arsenal showed much in the way of spirit and determination, with Ethan Nwaneri scoring the equaliser in the closing stages as he latched onto a cross from Ismeal Kabia.
Arsenal welcomed back Reuell Walters, with the defender having missed the last four U21 matches due to injury.
Walters was deployed at centre-back alongside Ayden Heaven, with the pair possessing an understanding of each others’ games having played together for Arsenal U19s in the UEFA Youth League this season.
Although Arsenal weren’t able to keep a clean sheet, having Walters’ presence in the side helped the overall performance of the team.
The youngster is capable of stepping out from defence with the ball, while he is also an impressive reader of the game.
Despite having been called up to the senior squad on 20 occasions, Walters is still awaiting his competitive first-team debut for Arsenal.
It remains to be seen whether Walters will feature competitively for the club, with his contract set to expire this summer and his future still uncertain.
Walters has developed very well since joining Arsenal and his all-round game could be of great use to the club’s U21 side in the closing stages of the season.

I can see a need for a wide… Read more »
That would be eyebrows not eye lids – although even my eye lids were raised on this occasion
