Arsenal’s clash with Bournemouth at the Emirates on Saturday 4 May will kick off at 12.30pm after TNT Sports selected it for broadcast in the UK.
All going well against Bayern Munich, our penultimate Premier League home game will fall between a Champions League semi-final double-header with either Real Madrid or Manchester City. If the Germans knock us out, we’ll get a full week to prepare for the Cherries following the north London derby on 28 April.
As things stand, the only match still to be rearranged is our trip to Manchester United. It’s currently scheduled for 3pm on 11 May but is bound to be handed a broadcast slot in the coming weeks.
It’s squeaky bum time.
Nice contrast to last season, where we seemed to play last every weekend. Now we’re getting a few cracks at going first, and putting some pressure on others
Mad how Spurs have a 15 day rest before playing us while we play mid week – weekend the whole time. Why didn’t reschedule their game with City for that mid week? Crazy, really.
My current frame of mind :
If we had a 15 day break – Excellent. We’re going to be so much fresher than them.
When they have a 15 day break – They’ll be unpracticed and lacking in momentum.
I call it Mikholm Syndrome.
City already have Brighton on 25th April
spurs v city might have to be final mid-week of season unless city lose their CL quarter-final
We had a 19 day hiatus before the City game and see how it aged. The long break could be counterproductive in terms of momentum and match fitness. Thank God we have a fully fit squad and quite an experienced bench too.
You have to give them some sort of help I suppose..
Odd scheduling this – if we get through to the semi finals of the Champions League either one of the Sp*rs or Bournemouth games will be moved at late notice (clubs have an agreement with the league not to play Sun/Tues, nor Weds 8pm/Sat 12.30pm). We’ve seen a couple 5.30pm/8pm Saturday double headers this season, surely it makes more sense for TV companies to lock in and shift to those slots during the run in and just avoid the 1230 one – they get prime TV viewership slots and fans and club staff can plan accordingly. As it stands, we… Read more »
12.30pm slots do not apply to home games though. We avoid them only if we had played away games the same week.
Squeaky bum time is perfect. It’s been a while!!!
Praying that TNT don’t inflict Dr Dentures McCoist and his moronic ‘commentary’ for this game; utter dog shit and obviously has an axe to grind against Arsenal though can’t think why.
