Arsenal U21s finished their regular season on Sunday with a 2-0 victory away to Liverpool.
It was one of the most impressive displays that Mehmet Ali’s side have produced this campaign and they managed to prevail courtesy of two goals from Amario Cozier-Duberry, the second of which was of an especially high standard.
Arsenal finished in fifth place in Premier League 2, with their overall record reading ten wins, six draws and four defeats.
There is a new format for the division this season, with playoffs taking place between the teams that finished in the top 16.
Arsenal will host Manchester United on Friday night in what should be a hugely entertaining game.
Both teams possess some high quality players and Arsenal will be eager to express themselves. Cozier-Duberry, for instance, will be full of confidence following his brace against Liverpool and will be eager to add more goals to his tally.
The likes of Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly could also have important parts to play as Mehmet Ali’s side look to make it through to the last eight.
It remains to be seen whether Jurrien Timber, who has featured in the last two U21 matches, will be involved in this game or will instead find himself back with the first-team.
The winners of this clash will face Chelsea or Brighton & Hove Albion in the last eight, with the playoffs providing an extra feeling of excitement at the conclusion of the campaign.

Having watched the Derby game maybe Chido Martin should get a go up front
The only thing tastier than a cozy blueberry is a cozier-duberry.
I’m assuming this, and any subsequent matches, will be played at Meadow Park? Would be nice for the U21s to play at least one game at the Emirates this season, U21/23s haven’t had a game there for years.
