COYG
We should have plenty to beat Wolves, touch wood.
Tomiyasu out again?

Vieiraera

I would have been as confident as you are earlier in the season. But the boys especially arteta’s preferred first 14 looked knackered in the last 2 games. We are merely recycling the same 14 players when we think we are rotating players. That said, the biggest question is – are the likes of Partey, ESR and Vieira now so bad they can’t get a start even when Rice, Odegaard and Saka desperately need a break?

Wengerball

God these players are so burnt out. Clear the bench this summer, MA clearly has absolutely no faith in any of them.

Ebo

I’m with you on the general point but Wolves away after two straight defeats isn’t the time to rotate, we desperately need a win.

Wengerball

If the manager can’t trust his bench to rotate against opponents like Wolves then there was no way we were ever winning anything this season

Hurensohn

Foden has played more minutes than Saka this season. It’s mental.

Heavenly Chapecoense

Totally agree.

karl g

I find it hard to see how they are quite so burnt out. We never used to get a winter break and they’ve only been play 2 match a week from this month.

Ebo

“Only 2 matches a week” how many qualify as a lot for you then, 4 a week? The exertion of football matches these days with the type of pressing we do is at least 50% more than in Wenger times

LGfromNYC

oh cmon

karl g

The problem is not having used the squad. Teams used to do a lot less running in years gone by, but they had fewer players and substitutions.

Ebo

Completely agree!

karl g

For me, 2 matches a week just means it’s been a successful season.

Johan

I hope it’s Trossard through the middle and Jesus on the left rather than the other way around. That’s where they’ve each been at their best lately, and Kai is better in midfield when he can interchange with Trossard.

ObiKing.

Kai has been a revelation upfront.

Man Manny

Three points, please… and another healthy goal tally for the GD column if possible.
Thanks.
City is wobbling at Wembley big time: the title race is not over by a long shot.

Fatgooner

Havertz in midfield again?

Surely not?!

Fatgooner

If Partey is fit then why isn’t he playing?

Ebo

Thought he looked dangerous 1st half vs Bayern, made great runs, just couldn’t generate that final ball or convert shots which he normally has in recent months.

Graeb

For me, he lacks the conviction to be a centre forward, always looking to pass it off first rather than shoot.

The G

By how little we seeing of TP does it mean it the end of his arsenal career?

karl g

We have to accept that his body is suited to a more sedate league and he might extend his career for a year or two longer.

A few matches a season is no good to use when he needs several games to warm up.

Nikolaj

Where is Tomiyasu?
I thought he did pretty well against Bayern

Sean

Think we can probably take a wild guess

Royalknightmu

Yet again no rotation from arteta. No partey, nelson, esr?

ObiKing

I hope Kai will not be playing in midfield. The man is better suited to be a striker.

RockyRog58

To be fair at the moment I wouldn’t pick Jesus if he was a snot up my nose ? He just isn’t scoring !!! The players were dead on their feet at the end of Bayern game even Benny Blanco FFS ! The faith that Arteta hasn’t had in his bench this season to freshen the team is perplexing? Poor Saka looks goosed ! I dunno ? But I do know a win is a must !!! COYG

Graeb

If a win is a must then now is not the time to play less than your best team. It was earlier in season that rotation could have been tried more.

Wengerball

Can’t be the better player when you have no legs left!

RockyRog58

Proof will be in the pudding but our BEST team includes individuals who are clearly knackered ! Rotating at this time of the season simply means certain players have carried the burden of trying to win a league & tge champions league & look to have hit a wall ? Let’s hope it’s not the case tonight was my original point !

Vieiraera

Just watching FA cup semis. Citeh look tired. A grueling season has obviously caught up with even the best players. Same can be said about our boys considering the performance at our last 2 games. Why is MA still not giving partey, ESR and Vieira a start even against an injury-depleted wolves side?

FMT

Can’t remember the last time this starting lineup worked for us. Tired or not, Our lineup against Brighton is our best away from home. It offers us the best in terms of control and goals.
Wish the boys luck today – there is still a lot to play for this season. The league!

Chippy

I wouldn’t be confident. If we have anything left in us and could make a statement that we’re not dead it would be brilliant.

Eric Blair

I want to see us top of the league again, even if it’s only for a few days.

Salibaba

Not sure why White is still on.. looks knackered!
