A significant amount of schoolboys have been involved with the Arsenal U18 squad of late, with Louis Zecevic-John amongst them.
A talented winger who has much flair, Zecevic-John first featured for the U18s against Reading in September and proceeded to score his first goal at that level in his next appearance against Southampton.
Zecevic-John had to wait until February for his next game for the U18s, which came in the reverse fixture against Southampton, when he was asked to fill in at right-back.
On that occasion the youngster had to go off injured in the first half, but he has since returned to full fitness and has caught the eye for the U18s.
Having found the net against Fulham, Zecevic-John demonstrated yesterday that he is also capable of setting up goals as he provided the assist for fellow schoolboy Andre Annous to score against Brighton & Hove Albion.
On the international stage Zecevic-John now represents Serbia at U16 level having previously featured for England U16s.
With five games left for the U18s this season, Zecevic-John will be looking to gain as much experience at that level as possible in preparation for next campaign, when he will become a full-time scholar.
There is much excitement with regards to Arsenal U18s at present, with younger players being given opportunities to impress. Zecevic-John certainly deserves credit for the impact that he has made.
