Amario Cozier-Duberry is reportedly set to leave Arsenal when his contract expires at the end of this month.
Losing Cozier-Duberry, who has been one of Arsenal’s standout performers at U21 level over the past couple of seasons, would certainly be frustrating for the club.
However, Cozier-Duberry cannot be begrudged the opportunity to test himself in senior football elsewhere, which is something he probably wouldn’t have received at Arsenal.
Arsenal will subsequently turn their attention to the players that are still at the club and there is one youngster in particular who could benefit from Cozier-Duberry’s expected departure.
Ismeal Kabia broke into the Arsenal U21 side in the second half of last season and the winger gave a good account of himself, with his dangerous crosses causing problems for opponents.
Arsenal subsequently offered the 18-year-old a professional contract and if he accepts the deal then Kabia will undoubtedly continue as a key player for the U21 side.
If Cozier-Duberry is no longer at the club then it is possible that more opportunities could subsequently open up for Kabia to train with the first-team and perhaps even get on the bench.
Kabia is somewhat different in style to Cozier-Duberry as he is a little more direct and is more of a traditional winger rather than looking to come infield at every opportunity.
Next season will be an important one for Kabia and he will be determined to seize any chance that he is afforded.

I would imagine when he leaves he’ll get lost and fall down the leagues like so many before him.. The grass is not always greener.
Rice was let go by Chelsea, Kane by us but at infant age.
De Bruyne and Salah by Chelsea as young first team players. There are so many examples of success too.
I wish there was a like button for some of your updates. Do not want to comment just want to say thanks for update.
