Confirmed: Karl Hein joins Valladolid on loan

Despite being strongly linked with moves to Charlton Athletic and Barnsley, Karl Hein has joined Real Valladolid on loan for the 2024-25 season.

It means he’ll be playing in La Liga next season after Vallodolid’s promotion from the Segunda Division in May.

Hein featured heavily in Arsenal’s pre-season tour of the USA, primarily because David Raya and Aaron Ramsdale had an extended holiday after Spain and England made it all the way to the final of Euro 2024.

Now, with those two back in the fold, he needs regular first team football, and part of the agreement he made with the club when signing a new contract was that he would go out on loan to get competitive minutes under his belt.

The 22-year-old has just one first team appearance for the Gunners but has played 30 full internationals for Estonia.

The new contract is a two-plus-one-year arrangement, and hopefully, he has a successful spell in Spain for the season ahead.

Good luck, Karl.

So where does that leave Ramsdale??
Good luck Karl, looks a decent keeper

Kris

Hopefully staying. With the extra CL games plus hopefully two deeper cup runs than last year there’s a lot more football to be played. The media fascination of having two number one keepers was a big problem imo last year and I think that no longer being a debate helps us manage the situation better, as Pep has done with Ortega.

Ortega is world class and basically come in with the same skill set as Emerson. The challenge with Ramsdale is he’s a very different goalie to Raya, really good player, but the very large change in distribution skills requires us to play a different style of football. That presents big challenges. Nonetheless, I’d love him to stay as #2, but the rotation thing is not so easy.

I believe a young GK can improve distribution skills. Don’t know what will happen if Gabriel and Saliba get jaded and a savior GK is needed five times in a game.

Naked Cygan

If Raya gets injured we need a solid replacement. I think we should keep Ramsdale if we can, otherwise sell if a really good offer comes in. I really hope we get a good run of games in the domestic cups so our bench gets some minutes.

Now he needs to play and to play regularly, on the face of it it’s a great opportunity for the lad to develop in a top league and should enhance his value.

David Ornstein reporting that signing a forward is dependent on sales. Is it 2015 again? The club has plenty of space to spend under the rules, don’t know how this ‘net spend’ thinking is back in vogue. For as much as other clubs are in shambles and/or under investigation, we’re the ones who haven’t won the league in 21 years.

💯, Chelsea and city continue to make a mockery FFP. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Football is a broken game – like everything good in this world, taken and destroyed by greedy greasy billionaires. Fuck the billionaires!! There is no solution to our problems with them constantly stealing everything from everyone.

TENNESSEE

Billionaires provide thousands of jobs for people. How many do you provide? Amazing how the destructive power of Marxism is so fascinating to the small minded.

Matthinc

This is a ridiculous argument not really worthy of a response. The concentration of extreme wealth in the hands of a few is clearly anti democratic and immoral. Hand outs here and there don’t cut it. The jobs would still need doing if they were provided by someone who extracted less money and gave more back.

Nacho de Montreal is tasty

Do they manufacture stuff that they sell to themselves? Where is the place of the manpower and household expenses in all these?

Daveo

Is TENNESSEE your new online trolling moniker, Elon?
