Oh jeeeezuss😮💨
Still, COYG…. in Benjamin own words, “let’s put this right”
I hate to be that person but I called it here in tbese very threads last weekend after the game, that if Timber made it to practice the next day fully fit he’d be taking over that spot from Zinchenko from now on.
Actually I don’t fully hate being that person, more of a love hate relationship.
It’s not really an original take, all of the discourse around Zinchenko has been that he will lose his place.
Were others as adamant that it would be as soon as from Villa onwards?
Yeah pretty much, most people have believed that other options will be used as soon as they are available. Well done for writing it down in a comment section though
Well done for putting me in my place. I will from now on know I should shut up and not jokingly be smug about things I mentioned before and was right about, without at least first researching whether other people have also said the same things. I’ll only have to check every blog and publication and podcast I don’t normally listen to and listen in on every pub conversation, shouldn’t be too hard though.
No problem, happy to help x
You clearly LOVE being that person. Being correct rules.
It absolutely does and I meant exactly as I said, I love and hate being that person very much.
ebo no-one would ever accuse you of hating being that person
except myself I guess? Because as I just said, I do at least partly hate being that person?
For some reason that part or the self deprecating humour of it didn’t seem to register, which is making me reevaluate whether I should even be commenting here. Unless the downvotes and these responses are equally as ironic as my comment was in the first place, in which case I guess I should reevaluate my reevaluation.
Think all the down votes are for your perceived smugness in the face of us looking at you ludicrously.
In fact, most of us are looking at you (or even back when you said it) with an air of common agreement.
So, suck it. We agree with you.
You might be wrong by this time next week.
I absolutely might be, but I bet I won’t be. And with that you’ve given me another opportunity to be smugly right about basically the same thing.
Can see zinchenko starting against Brighton. Wouldn’t be surprised if Califiori started either.
*cues up Ben Kingsley voice* no. No no no no no no. No no no no no no no no no.
Timberoo. 100% Timberinho. Unless he picks up an injury, Timber van Timbersson. I’m not a betting person at all but I’d actually be willing to bet 50 quid on that.
Perfect imo.
Jesus injured! My god what a surprise.
No Zinchenko, what a blessing
Most probably precautionary
Jesus out already in news shocker.
Any bets how long into September Nelson is starting games because we didn’t bother to improve the front 5 this summer? My bet is 2 weeks. One more injury and that is very much a reality.
Sad to hear about Jesus and hope he recovers soon.
On the plus side, love that Timber is starting.
Assuming we cannot depend on Nketiah and Nelson (considering the transfer rumours), and Trossard being the only other option upfront, I feel these kind of situations would make Arteta want to sign another forward/winger. Maybe we are and everything is hush-hush, but I hope we get a surprise before the transfer deadline.
Regardless, hope we win this!
i´d prefer Jorginho over Partey but ok….. sorry for Jesus, he needs to stay fit! big game for Martinelli, he needs to deliver
New season, Jesus random injuries. How long are we going to persist with that guy?
Stop crucifying Jesus for his injury history.
He will rise again
Until he comes back.
Sad to hear you have no more faith in Jesus.
The wide areas are always exploitable against emery sides, and those fullbacks are suspect. Maintaining control and forcing them to play our slower game is paramount- getting drawn in by the crowd and emery’s basketball game tactics won’t do us any good.
Jesus now I. The tomi/Wilshere/Diaby bin. Just totally unreliable. More reason to buy someone
Wonder what issues are there with “model professional” Jorginho? Partey is a walking disaster in such games.
That aged well.
Did you know Bailey Rogers Watkins?
Wasn’t he a character in “Atlas Shrugged”?
If we were to sell Eddie and Reiss, as is expected, who the fuck would be on the bench? We really need a few signings next week.
put me in coach
Without Jesus our attacking options looks thin.
1-2
0-2 clean sheet COYG
Give them nothing.
2-0 to the Arsenal. COYG!!!
Let’s hope Martinelli plays a little less within himself today otherwise MA shouldn’t wait too long to bring Trossard on. Otherwise, solid line up and bench! Let’s bring all 3 points home !
Apparently you can do anything you want to Gabriel Magalhaes as an attacker and it’s not a foul.
Get in!
And fuck Aston Villa!
