Arsenal got themselves into a comfortable position after goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard gave us a 2-0 half-time lead against Leicester this afternoon.
However, two in return from James Justin – one a superb strike – pegged us back, before late drama and finishes from Trossard and Kai Havertz ensured we took all three points.

Overall a good performance despite the second half scare. Big talking point for me has to be Nwaneri’s impact, looks a proper player already. James suggested he should start this game after Bolton and on the basis of this cameo, he more than has a point.

I think this season has already taken about 5 years off my life. Great to see martinelli back amongst the goals and assists, love that trossard was able to contribute when starting as opposed to his super sub role. Nwaneri was exceptional in his 10 min cameo. I thought the score flattered Leicester as they benefitted from two freak goals as well as a fantastic performance from their keeper.
To compete with city these are must win games and we did exactly that, albeit not as serenely as we’d hoped but these are the efoggin estandards. Let’s foggin go.

Just got my dog back after 3 weeks he was with his godmothers, was literally shedding tears earlier thinking about getting my best friend back, about him turning 5 in a few days and how quickly times goes by, and the thought of one day losing him. My deepest condolences Blogs.

I feel the rating for Partey is too low. His passing was fine today and he manged to make a few tackles in the midfield without fouling. The fault on their 2nd is really Trossard switching off until too late. Even then it is a strike he will never ever repeat.

Sorry for your loss pal, I had my dog killed by the police as I was waiting for a court date, he died in police custody, why was he in police custody you ask? Apparently due to how a dog looks, is enough grounds to kidnap the dog from the owner and go through a nonsense process to get your dog back, anyway glad arsenal won.

17 corner kicks to none, 16 shots on goal to 3, 36 shot attempts to 5, etc.. You see those stats alone and you’d think we would have won by 4 or 5 at least. We had some great opportunities and their keeper was great with 13 saves or it could have been a much higher score for us, but we nearly tied that game which would have been a huge two points lost for us. Ratings on point, impressed with Tross when he was deeper think Rice has to play 6 just now especially against lower blocks, tross is better on ball at 8 then we will have ethan, merino and Martin as 8s . Kai should only play 9, great options allround and what about our new fullbacks , masterclasses and Mr Benji Blanco still to come in , we have he’ll of a squad, let hope we hit our stride but done really well adopting without Martin, cause he’s always been the go to man
