Arsenal’s visit to Bournemouth rearranged

Arsenal’s trip to Bournemouth has been brought forward to Saturday 19 October following the confirmation of our Champions League schedule.

The match had been selected by Sky Sports for their Super Sunday coverage but will now fill the broadcaster’s 5.30pm slot on Saturday to allow a 72-hour gap before Shakhtar Donetsk visit the Emirates on the following Tuesday.

The clash with the Cherries will mark the resumption of action following the October Interlull and could be the date we see Mikel Merino return to action.

Reports this afternoon suggest the player will be sidelined for six to eight weeks after fracturing his shoulder in his first training session at Arsenal.

Let’s hope Merino is healed and ready to play then!

Moved from the missus’ birthday. We’d better get 3 points, or she’s going to have a shit 40th.

Matthinc

Is that cos she’s a massive gooner or you’re a dick?

Zenithreptile

She’s a gooner, but I’m also a massive dick, so a little from column A, a little from column B.

Matthinc

Haha well here’s hoping her 40th is excellent

Redbaron

Off topic & I know they won’t do so but I really hope Rice & Saka could invent some reasons to stay away from Interlul duty. Its not even qualifiers or something important.

International managers should really have called up players who are on fringes, giving rest to all those who played in euro/other competitions in summer.

Henkamp

This is what I was thinking yesterday, but with regards to Saliba. I am hoping Deschamps has a brain fart and starts Konate in his stead. When the f*ck did the Euros end that these players are getting called up again so soon to play 2 games in quick succession? This is not normal!
