Leah Williamson misses out for Arsenal’s WSL opener against Manchester City, so Lotte Wubben-Moy partners Laia Codina at centre-half. Caitlin Foord comes in for Beth Mead on the right, while Frida Maanum and Stina Blackstenius come in for Rosa Kafaji and Alessia Russo.
Manu Zinsberger starts in goal with Emily Fox, Wubben-Moy, Codina and McCabe at the back. Kim Little and Kyra Cooney-Cross are in the midfield double pivot. Ahead of them Foord is on the right, Maanum as the 10 and Mariona wide left with Blackstenius, who scored three times against City last season, leading the line.

Interesting line up and a less than ideal news for Leah. But let’s go get this!
Are we too transparent with our supposed game plan here – long ball to Stina, has Eidevall another game plan here?
Do we even have a game plan or a footballing identity under eidevall?
That’s a silly comment. Jonas has his faults as a coach and I understand why he’s so unpopular in many quarters, but he does switch up his tactics often – the differing ways he used Russo and Stina is just one example.
I am wondering what the complain is about. I have been impressed with the way we played in that first half. I usually call Jonas out too, but he has set up that team brilliantly today. Not his fault players cannot finish chances!
I don’t think I’ll ever get over Arsenal letting Viv leave. It looks so wrong to see her on the pitch today in light blue playing against arsenal.
