Training at London Colney is likely to be a low-key affair this week with 12 members of Mikel Arteta’s senior squad away on Interlull duty, four players sidelined by injury and four highly-rated academy youngsters all selected by England under-19s.
It means only Jorginho, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard were available to welcome new Gunners Neto and Raheem Sterling. Presumably, they’ll spend the week playing headers and volleys.
Here’s what the rest of the squad is up to…

Leo not selected by Belgium? Is that because of his old man’s conduct during the euros?
No, because Belgium is so strong that they achieve nothing.
Hey Blogs, will we be getting a New Signing Profile article for Raheem Sterling and/or Neto from Phil Costa?
Or is that reserved only for actual signings and not loan players?
Always looking forward to the analysis on our new squad players.
Is there a chance any of the first teamers working their way back to fitness might get a run out for the U21s tonight?
None of Jesus, Tomiyasu, Tierney or Merino are close to returning, so I wouldn’t expect so.
That makes two of us Benny. Hate international football.
I swear they will not rest until they have worn out and tore every international players’ tendons and ligaments just to fill up their greedy pockets
That makes benny the ultimate professional ever. 100% dedicated to the club that pays him. Not engaging in any international matches. I think club can insert that incentive in players’ contract.
For the U-19 players, isn’t Ayden’s last name ‘Heaven??’
I like this sort of information being written up on News! Would be extra good (for the anxiety) to know where the games these players are being played.
