Not sure what to make of it, he is unlikely to make an appearance anyway as Jesus and Sterling are on the bench

I would have loved to see Nwaneri start. Surprise factor could have really worked. Have to trust Arteta though and Sterling and Jesus on bench are a great threat. Martinelli needs to shine today. If he does we win as they will not be able to cope with him and Saka. If he doesn’t it’s a close call
Team sheet as expected. Now it’s time to see how Arteta manages the risk/reward of pinning them back without conceding too many transitions.

Bench. I know we have a couple of players out, but City’s bench yesterday included Rodri, Silva, Doku, Foden, Diaz and Gvardiol. We need more.

Probably our best pick. Not much to select from. Natural that Jorghino comes in for Rice. I would have put Havertz in Ødegaard’s slot and Trossard as forward. Or mabye to start on the bench.

Always proud to see youth represented on the bench. Exciting to see Arteta involving younger players, even if only to get them part of training and the whole match day experience.

I hope your time at Arsenal is coming to an end. He was involved in two of our most dangerous chances, would’ve scored if not for a good save by Vicario and would’ve had a great assist if not for another one.
Seriously, he’s now the next Zinchenko / Havertz type scapegoat? A young forward who scored 15 goals for us just over a year ago, the winning goal against City and tracks back to defend like a madman? You can’t even give him the rest of this season to get his form back and fulfill his immense potential?
