Daphne van Domselaar, Lotte Wubben-Moy and Beth Mead are restored to the starting line-up for Arsenal against Chelsea in the WSL today. Van Domselaar starts in goal and it looks as though Emily Fox, Leah Williamson, Lotte Wubben-Moy and Katie McCabe will play in the back four.
Lia Walti and Kim Little in the midfield double pivot with Mariona likely in a central role ahead of them. Beth Mead and Caitlin Foord are on the wings with Alessia Russo leading the line. The other (slight) possibility is that it could be a back three with Fox at RCB and Foord at RWB but I suspect it will be the usual 4231 setup.
14.van Domselaar, 2.Fox, 6.Williamson, 3.Wubben-Moy, 11.McCabe; 10.Little(c), 13.Walti; 9.Mead, 8.Mariona, 19.Foord; 23.Russo
Subs: 1.Zinsberger, 5.L.Codina, 7.Catley, 12.L.Maanum, 16.Kafaji, 22.Kuhl, 25.Blackstenius, 32.Cooney-Cross, 62.Reid.
Wonder if we will see a different speed of play today and perhaps some more organization, and if things go wrong, can the manager adjust mid game or will he bring out the litany of excuses again?
Well we’re 2 nil down and I just want to scream “get your f**king heads in the game” , so if you meant *less speed and organisation* then you’re onto something.
He’s bereft of ideas, even with this wealth of talent at his disposal.
I’ve put it nicely.
I’ve been diplomatic.
I’ve given him time.
Enough is enough.
If they lose this game, Sack him now.
