Seems insane that Timber is starting after he went off with cramp on Sunday. He’s just come back from injury, give him a break! Would also have loved to see MLS starting as he deserves it but would be tough to make him play RB I guess

Appelsenpere

“Insane”?
It’s Wednesday night. He played on Sunday. He’s a professional athlete haha. How else is he meant to get back to full match fitness.

Sam

Yes, and we have another game on Saturday lunchtime. He clearly wasn’t 100% fit on Sunday and was a doubt for that game. Give him a rest to fully recover for the weekend. We should be more than strong enough to beat Preston without him

Ash

Lewis-Skelly plays more in PL than Carabao cup, strange.

Fenko

It shows that Zinchenko’s days are numbered at the Emirates.

SizC

Why even name Saka on the bench. Give him a mini break from match day. The EPL is more important.

Man Manny

Why does Saka need another mini break after sitting out one international, Bournemouth and Shaktar?
He’s not even in the starting eleven.

Fenko

How else is Timber going to get match fit if MA is playing him every 2 weeks. Him starting doesn’t mean he will complete the 90 minutes.
Very soon, we are going to be playing every 3 days and we need him to be prime ready to handle the workload.
I don’t see anything insane with that.

Ebo

No one said every 2 weeks. I think once a week is reasonable for a player with his recent injury history and is enough for most players to get match fit.

Henkamp

I understand this sentiment. But it’s just unfortunate that Tomi never seems to be fit! Timber’s minutes would have have seen more pragmatic management, then.

Appelsenpere

I wasn’t expecting that haha. Exciting

Arsepedant

Good line-up. Lot’s of firepower in reserve if we need it (hopefulyl we won’t). I’m glad Zinchenko gets a chance to work his way back into contention for regular minutes – there’s still a good player in there somewhere. And cheers for Nwaneri! I hope he duplicates his performance against Bolton.

Arsepedant

* Lots. “Punctuation, is – … important??

Chipper49

No Benny Blanco on the bench. Hopefully nothing more than giving him a rest.🤞BTW my auto correct tried to change ‘bench’ to ‘beach’ it’s like my phone knows who I’m talking about!

Thierry Bergkamp (non negotiable)

Nice lineup

beldar77

Zinchenko probably can’t go 90 so MLS might get minutes too. Maybe the plan is for Timber is not going 90 either? COYG get a multiple goal lead early!

Naked Cygan

Saka, Partey, Rice, and Havertz should have had the night off.

Hurensohn

Would have put Nwaneri on right with MLS in midfield personally but what do I know. Will be interesting nonetheless.

Daveod

Pretty much what I hoped and expected COYG!!!

SLC Gooner

Seems pretty reasonable, though I’d probably have put in MLS instead of Timber, but maybe that’s the plan at half.
Still should be enough there to get past Preston.

Paul Staddon

Who is Heaven?

Daveod

He’s just a place on earth

Fatgooner

Setford in goal is a bit of a gamble in a “can’t afford to lose” game.

ChickPEA

Of course we can afford to lose this game. And much more than to lose Raya, by the way.

Matthinc

Good to have a look at the kid and give him the experience. Doubt he’ll be under a lot of pressure

Al m

Nwaneri at 10. Interesting

Al m

Not much goal threat taking their recent records. Hopefully tonight they remember how

Gordy

How do you watch tonight’s game?

Ealing

Anyone knows why match not showing on sky sport +

Gordy

Me too, what do you do?

Paul

It says it’s on Sky Sports + but I can’t find it. Help please?

Ealing

The link is on skysport+ but I can only watch on phone
